Two Phoeniis stood together at a edge of a large and fat stream that ran water along at a slow tempo. They were both male, and considered the other as a brother, so no dirty thoughts now. The older Phoenii, a golden colored first generation with some secondary coloring of orange, bobbed his beak into the water and gulped some down. He then used a wing to splash water onto his feathers, collar, and dark halo, washing away crumbles of black and brown. His name was Ra. Next to him, was Merlin, a black Phoenii with blue ribbons of color tossed onto him. The blue were gone for now, as a prank gone wrong by the mischievous Phoeniis in their nest blanketed the home and the Phoeniis in at the time in a thick mixture of soot and... Piranha poop. Yes, you read the text correctly. Piranha poop. Don't ask Gala. She's the one who got the piranhas long ago, but Ra has already learned from her that she did not save one bit of piranha poop. Fuming silently, the two Phoeniis flicked useless amounts of water onto themselves. The disgusting mixture was stubbornly clinging to every free surface, and weren't going to fall off without a fight.

Merlin watched as Bandit was blasted away for a moment before turning to Ra. "Wasn't that a bit too much?" He asked. "No." Ra replied sharply. "Orly?" Ra ignored that comment. "Let's just go to that waterfall. Where is it?" Merlin pointed. Soon the area was a small whirlwind of leaves, soot, and piranha poop as two Phoeniis took off into the air.

A few seconds later, Bandit recovered, stumbled from a thorny bush, attempted to take out the thorns, gave up, and sighed. A small thump issued behind him. When Bandit turned around, he saw Lilac peering at him closely. "What happened?" She asked. "Everybody could hear Ra's shouting from the nest." "Nothing." Bandit grumbled. Lilac sighed. "Something is never nothing." She said with a wave of a blue wing. "Here, I'll take out the thorns. Hold still." Bandit nodded an "Ok" and tried not to flinch when a thorn was plucked out. Lilac was the mother figure of the nest, even though she was a semi-newcomer. She was actually normal, not crazy like most of the nest.

Soon Bandit was free of thorns, but was instead sporting red spots. They were covered by the feathers though. "Will you take better care of yourself?" Lilac then asked Bandit. "Yes." He replied. "Will you not piss off Ra in the near future?" Bandit didn't bother asking how she knew. "I won't" "Well then, I'll be off." Lilac said brightly. "I was lucky that I wasn't at the nest an hour ago, y'know. Go take a bath. I'd recommend the waterfall, but I think that's where Merlin and Ra went. Good luck getting the stuff off your feathers!" Lilac was then gone. Bandit stared at the river that he was standing by and jumped into the river. He was small enough to completely submerge underneath the surface, even though the slow rushing water didn't take all the stuff away by itself. After a minute or two of scrubbing, Bandit was squeaky clean when he took off for home.
