Sleep was something Yuli could never give into, he had arrived a week or so ago to this camp. Keeping mostly to himself, actually no one has heard him say a single word yet. Mostly cause he was still trying to recover from the abuse. The smell was strong, the men huddled in a corner cuddling together trying to steal what little warmth they had. Only a few laid on the metal surfaces they called beds. Yuli was one of them.
The one thing he could not stand was the smell, he was sure overtime he would get used to it. The smell consisted of rotten wood, sweat from the men that were sick, the smell of their own waste. There was almost a constant howling from the harsh winds somehow finding it's way through the cracks of the barracks. He was freezing but his body was sore from the harsh work he did, the hunger eating at what little energy he had.
He took this moment to sit up, it was not uncommon for men to sit up and walk around to try and wake up sleeping limbs or to uncramp a muscle. He tossed the raven locks out of his blue eyes, his hair was getting long. He notice one man that was not to far from his bed curled up trying to gain some warmth, he silently thought why the other was not huddling in the group.
The sound of idle chatter also echo along the walls, men talking with one another. Sighing he leaned against the wall trying to gain warmth by holding his legs to his chest, "if your cold why con't you join the group?" He asked, he felt he needed to say something. His once strong confident voice sounded almost hesitant and soft.

Yuli felt a little embrassed by the comment, he realized he had not said much it was funny really considering he used to bold and loud with all his opinions...thus how he ended up here. "Well I would not call it okay.." he said lightly. Only been a week and he already seemed to look so much different the first day he was brought here. Of course he was bruise and beaten when he first came here.
The wounds he had endure before were almost all healed, but other wounds had appeared..scraps were the common ones. He tended to not be good at keeping his footing during the work. "But I think I will live at least..." he said lightly. His voice still held that soft tone, never rising and sometimes even going more quiet. As if he was afriad to speak...."My name is Yuli." He decided introductions would be a good idea. No need for family names, his father had disowned him the second he was arrested. He once again attempted to remove teh raven locks out of his eyes by tucking them behind his ear. They most likely would slip back in front of his eyes but he was determine to make his hair agree.

Yuli was glad they both had agree family names was not to be exchange here, he accepted the invitation. Grabbing a blanket turned out to be harder each time and in the end he was always shoved to the back of the group. At times like those he wished he was a lot stronger, and being shoved like that was not good for his bruises. "IIya.." he said as if testing the name, "that is a neat name.." he said commenting what he felt was a new friend or at least the start of a new friendship.
The air outside seemed to howl even louder, the sign that the storm was getting worse, Yuli wiggled his toes making sure they were not frostbitten...which in truth was very much common. He felt he could began to really like IIya and was glad he had decided to open his mouth. He wished though his voice was confident like it used to be, it almost felt as breaking him was exactly what the government had achieved. He shivered at the memory.
He was thankful for IIya's hospitality, if he kept up like this he was sure he would not survive the month. A few of the guys had tried to get him to speak, he remember those encounters well. But at that time it hurt to talk, he was glad though talking softly no longer hurt, he was getting tired being called a mute.

Yuli felt the blanket get wrapped around and blushed as an arm was wrapped around his shoulders. He wondered why he blushed? Maybe cause it had been awhile since anyone showed such kindness to him. Nodding he laid his head against Ilya and closed his eyes. "Thank you..." he muttered his voice soft as he was lured into the realm of dreams. Yuli knew that work would not be cancelled. He wondered if it would ever happen. The smell had left replaced by Ilya's own scent, which was not pleasant either since they never got to shower often and would go days decorated in their own sweat, but much more nicer then the usual smells that was for sure. He fell asleep to the soft breathing of Ilya, the sound of his beating heart and the howling of the wind.

His name echo into the haunted world of his nightmares, they were always there waiting for him when he dare to close his eyes. Opening his eyes he blinked as he sat up and seemed to take a few minutes to remember where he was. His cheeks had gotten more rosy, probably due to a slight fever of his body fighting off some infections. "It is morning?" He asked and then realized it was. "Oh no we better hurry before were late." He said scampering out of the bed and accidently tripping in his rush.
"Ow.." he muttered lightly as he got up and gave a weak smile, it was common for him to be so clumsy in the morning. He was always one that rushed ahead in the morning before his own mind could wake up. "Coming IIya?" He asked already forgetting about the clumsy show he just performed a few moments ago. His hand had automatically went to remove those raven locks that was threatening to hide his eyes.
