Has anyone else ever read this? It's a fantastic book, and it's the only book about vampires I've ever liked. Of course that could be because they're more like zombies. Also, I'm pretty sure the book was the inspiration for the modern zombie and night of the living dead.
It's a short book, read it!

Ive never read it. I need too but im reading so many things at the moment. gonk i saw that there is a movie coming out. I wonder if it will be any good. confused

I thought both the book and the movie were really good in their own ways. The movie was so different from the book that I don't think you could really compare/contrast them.
I do agree that the book was really amazing and I was so surprised that the book was written in the 1950's. It was very much ahead of it's time.

Finally watched the movie....
Wow. I liked it....but then Will Smith found survivors and it just....I dunno, it kinda veered into "bleh". Even the alternate ending wasn't much better....it's a real shame because it was otherwise pretty decent.
