Season Three is now upon us!
Episodes: +The Runaway Bride +Smith and Jones +The Shakespeare Code +Gridlock +Daleks in Manhattan +Evolution of the Daleks +The Lazarus Experiment +42
Discuss!
What did you think about the long-awaited premiere? Worth the wait, or was the arrival too hyped up? Martha vs Rose - what are your thoughts? Did you figure the keyword out just by watching it, or were you spoiled?
This is a spoiler free thread, which means if it hasn't aired yet in the US, don't talk about it. Thankies!

O.K, well I'm not US, but I wanna discuss! Those that have come out only though. 3nodding
Runaway Bride was amazing, truly. It took my breath away - and Catherine Tate can really act! I was amazed.
Smith and Jones, on the other hand, was so bad. David was great, as per normal, but Freema just had no life to her, so it felt like David was holding up the show alone. And the episode was generally fairly dull. It was not scary, nor funny, nor exciting. Donna had me forgetting Rose, but Martha has me wanting her back BADLY. Right now, yeah, Rose over Martha all the way for me. Martha just isn't...fun enough.

I'm from Canada, so I'm only two episodes ahead of you. I did think of making a thread aimed at Canadians, but theres probably not too many in the guild.
I really enjoyed watching Runaway Bride, Catherine Tate certainly makes an interesting companion. I especially loved the Doctor's face when he first sees her, hence my current signature.
As for Smith and Jones - I didn't find it as horrid as many in the guild did. I actually thought it was a good introduction to Freema's character, and I was looking forward to seeing more of her afterwards. I found the way she first meets him clever, although hard to compare with Rose's introduction to the Doctor. I believe Martha will always be the poor second, since the writers made Rose so important and vital to the Doctor's storyline. I do admit that the episode could have had a stronger plot and less pointless aliens though.

I loved the fact that the first two-parter was in NYC for a good change! Dalek Sec was quite strange at the end, and his way of thinking was really, really different....
So there's only Dalek Caan left....

42 is definitely my favorite so far. It was the scariest, but it still had the occasional infusion of humour and wit to keep it going. And the Mr-freaking-Saxon storyline is really heating up.
