Here is a closer look of the new villain in town:User Image

Born in England, Michael Richman was raised by merchant parents who struggled to make their living until he was eight. His mother died when and his father left on buisness for months at a time, so he was sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle in Spain. Growing up, Michael's cousin, Luis Zuan became like a brother to him. While Michael lived with his Aunt and Uncle his father gained controle over a small fleet of ships and converted to piracy. Michael's father was killed in battle with all fo his ships destroyed, but one, which he had sent to his son. Zuan became a merchant while Michael enlisted himself and his ship, the Legacy into the Spanish navy. The ship was re-named the Santo Columbia. He was looked down on for being a foreigner by birth and so he was never promoted. As Spain prepared for a battle the King ordered all foreign captains to be relieved from service, and their ships taken under the controle of the Spanish empire. One of Michael's loyal crewmen, Victor, told him about the King's plans and so they planned their escape. rallying together all foreign captains Michael blasted his way out of Spain sinking anything that would sail against him.

Damaged from the escape Michael's small fleet sailed for days before they were hit by a storm off the coast of Northern Africa. Not much is recorded as to what happened in the storm but stories tell that the fleet was attacked by the Flying Dutchman. Michael was able to make a deal with the devil and agreed to capture the souls of 100 captains by enlisting them and their ships in an immortal fleet. Jones gave Michael the black book reffered to by many names such as "The Devil's Diary", "The Blood List". By accepting that book Michael became Jones' bounty hunter and had his small fleet sign their names to the book. Michael sailed north once again to attack merchant ships and prepare for a trip to the Caribbean. In one battle Michael was reunited with his Cousin, who happily signed his name to the book and set of to bring honor and wealth to the family name.

When Michael arrived in the Caribbean he focused on his one goal, to bring the nation of Spain to their knees by paying Jones with the 100 names. Michael sailed from island to island leaving those towns that refused him in ruin. Micahel has now set his sites on Tortuga and now sets his plan in motion to destroy it.

One person has challenged Michael, Admeral Kibo Botch now seems to be the only one to stand to save Tortuga. The war is about to begin... so who will you fight with? Will you put Tortuga behind you and sail with the devil to spare your self the destruction, or will you go down fighting with Kibo?

The Posts below will be used to give a history of the ships that serve the Santo Columbia and its captain.

[Richman Family tree]

Rudolph Geiss Richman: Grandfather of Don Miguel and Captain of the Charmed Lockett, a ship he purchased near the end of his life seemingly for his own pleasure. Rudolph used this ship to track Davy Jones, but whent mad before he ever found the devil and died two months into his search.

Isaac Richman: The Oldest of the three Richman children, Isaac (Isa) grew up to be a wealthy merchant sailor. Isa Richman married Sarah Buxlett and had one son, Michael Richman.Isa made quite a fortune, but often ignored his family to stay at sea. Isa left behind his vast fortune as well as his prized flagship, the Legacy, to his only recorded son Michael. Richman was rumored to have many affairs and up to three fatherless children have claimed to be his. Isa died at the age of 47 in battle onboard the Legacy, he died when a cannon ball hit him in the gut and sent him into the water.

Louis Richman: A bright young woman, Louis moved to Spain at the age of 19 where she fell in love with the romantic, Lucas Zuan. Lucas was a hopless romantic, but not very bright. Louis set up a merchant buisness in his name and ran it from home teaching her son, Luis, all he needed to know for taking over his father's buisness. Louis died of Cancer three years before her husband.

Jonas Richman: The baby of the family, Jonas was always prevented from going out to have fun by his parents. he was often teased by his older siblings who had become rich from the sea. Richman could not stand to be left out of the fun and ran away from home at the age of 17. Richman worked for years onboard merchant ships making sure to stay away from ships of the family fleet. When Jonas heard his sister had died he joined his brother-in-law's fleet in hopes of taking over. Jonas instead found his nephew, Luis, in command and the two struck up a brothly relationship. Jonas prephers Luis to Michael and has even dueled agaisnt Michael in front of his crew.

Luis Zuan: The son of Lucas and Louis Zuan, Luis grew up learning the rules of buisness. Although his life was based and built around laws and order Luis came to learn that sometimes the rules must be bent in order to get what you want. Luis finds this to be true especially in battle where the rules of fair engagment can be 'boreing and troublesome. A battle can go on for such a long time that it wastes the enrgy of the combatants." Zuis opts. to instead shoot his opponents before they become irritating.

*This is the post to shed some light on the souless villains who serve DOn Miguel (in order of appearence in the RP)

The Seaham: The Seaham was a British merchant ship owned by Zuan and signed to Miguel. Michael placed the ship under the command of Smithee to call the transport ships to Tortuga. [Sunk and returned to the book.]

Spilled Salt:

The Spilled Salt was an omen of bad luck with several black cats kept on board as pets of the former captain kept onboard and the number "13" written in blood on its sails. Michael gave this ship to Victor and sent him to keep an eye on kibo Botch, but called it back to the book when Victor betrayed him. [returned to the book.]

Captain Pierre Arronax, and L' Espadon:

Pierre Arronax rose to the rank of Admeral of the French Navy through intimidation and raw power. Arronax chose L'Espadon as his flagship for because it reflected his desire for power and strength in the toughest situations. Arronax was to sign over half of his fleet to Don Miguel in exchange for an assasin that had tried to kill the King of France. When Michael was late he took his fleet and left thinking of Michael as nothing but a joke, and a very disrespectful one at that. A few days later, Michael tracked down L' Espadon as she was preparing to return home and captured Arronax's entire fleet. Michael used Arronax and L'Espadon as an attack dog and sent him after the Dagger (one of Botch's) to deliver the message that a war was coming. [The ship was sunk by the valiant efforts of the Dagger and its crew and returned to the book.]

Death Wind: An Oriental junk used to transport stolen goods and rum lost its way in a fog bank and fell prisoner to the Santo Columbia. Michael called this ship back into service and gave it to Storm when she became his First Mate.

Devil's Play, Calchas, Black Gate: Three Merchant ships owned by Zuan. The Devil's Play was his flagship, formerly the Golden Deal,Zuan renamed it after Joining Michael's fleet. Michael used these three ships to transport explosives all over Tortuga as well as distractions in his abduction of Storm. [All ships were sunk and returned to the book.]

Deliverance: Currently leading the attack on Tortuga, the Deliverance is commanded by Luis Zuan. The Deliverance is one of five ships that is signed to Michael's book, but not trapped within it. The Deliverance was once captained by the Spanish Admeral, who was killed in Don Miguel's escape. The Admeral was killed in Michael's presence by El Fantasma who was assigned to the ship until he came upon the HMS Master. The Deliverance was once the prized warship of the Spanish Armada. Its large hull left plenty of space to keep and treat wounded sailors and even had a level dedicated to the church. Since no man had ever died onboard her (until Don Miguel's attack) and due to its brilliance it was rumored that it was watched over by angels. When Don Miguel's attack resulted in the death of the Admeral onboard her rumors circulated that the angels carried off the soul of the Admeral and never returned. The Deliverance is currently in battle with Mr. Big's Flagship the Mystik.

HMS Master: The HMS Master was once a ship used by key agents of the black market to transport illegal goods and hold meetings in secret. The ship was rumored to be a breeding ground for darkness and sin, and so it attracked the attention of El Fantasma. El Fantasma asked Michael to help him get the Master. Michael was able to strike a deal with the ship's Captain so that if he would aid in the break away from the Spanish empire he would not only gain a vast fortune but all of El Fantasma's ships. The greedy fool agreed and when the time came to pay up he was cursed. The man found the hardway that the only soul to captain the ships of El Fantasma is El Fantasma. The man's souls was ripped from his body and El Fantasma took over again. To show his thanks to Michael El Fantasma reliquished the curse on Deliverance and gave it to Don Miguel's cousin, Luis Zuan. The Master is currently battling the Sunset.

Acorzada: Was a rotting mess when Don Miguel found it in the Naval Harbor. the Acorzada had mostly decayed leaving nothing more than steel frame. Don Miguel rebuilt the ship adding metal to its hull thus making it near indestructable. The Acorzada is currently being captained by Trevor van Tyne and is battling the Orion's Belt.

Angela: Once a ship belonging to Don Miguel's father, Luis Zuan accuired it in his Uncle's will. Luis captained the Angela on the night of Michael's escape, but later put his Uncle [see relative chart on main post] in charge as captain. Jonas Richman, the youngest Richman brother, agreed to help his nephews in return for a bit of fun and adventure. The Angela is currently in battle with the Bloody Mary.

Concorde: The Concorde was once one of Michael's fastest ships. After the break away from Spain Michael sent it and it's crew to the North, where it was trapped and nearly sunk in the ice by Luc Savard who commanded a small fleet. Michael came in person to negotiate the release of his ship. negotiations ended in Savard signing over his entire fleet and in return he became captain of the Concorde and his men, the new crew. The Concorde is currently battling the Phantasm and its captain, Natasha.

Luis Zuan is the Cousin of Don Miguel. Zuan's parents moved to Spain and established a living as merchant sailors. Zuan's father succeeded in creating and honorable name for himself and his family. When the crown moved to take the Santo Columbia from Don Miguel the Zuan family saw this as a direct insult to their name, for even though Don Miguel was not born in Spain he was taken in by one of the most honorable families in the nation. Zuan left the country behind him and left with his Cousin to create a new name for the family by creating a legacy of their own.

[Post Tortuga War]

The war for Tortuga destroyed Michael's body, for the most part. His failure dissapointed Jones greatly. To punish Michael he revealed him for what he truly was, a snake. The only features of Michael's body revealed (so far) is his grey hair and his right eye, wich resembles a snake's.

User Image
Michael drifted away from Tortuga, eventually landing on the shore of a deserted beach nearby. He was found and rescued by his second wave fleet, but canceled the attack due to his weakened condition.

With out Jones' support, and without a fleet, Michael dedicated himself to the search of the Zeus. The Zeus, a legendary ship named for the king of Greek Gods, is a 10 sail, 13 deck ship. The size of today's cruise ships, it was known as the moving island. Many captains disreguard the Zues as legend because of its enourmous size and that it has dissapeared in the sea... forever. Michael claims to have found the Zeus once, but because he was only allowed to recruit a ship to his fleet by signing the captain;s name to his cursed book, he was forced to abandon it. (No captain = no ship for Michael.)

Michael still harbors a hatred for Tortuga, but more so a loathing for Admeral Kibo Botch. Michael plans to use the Zeus as a new flagship in his final attack against Tortuga. Michael has also begun to train an apprentice to assasinate Kibo, ending his troubles once and for all.

After Michael returns to his traditional look, Chaos becomes a more active character. Jesse is slowly losing control of his own body to Chaos, who is begining to show signs of split personality. One side, is very childish and only wants to make Dream and Nightmare proud, and have them recognize her as their sibling. The other half understands her purpose and leads her younger side along. Bother have a longing for destruction and think of it as "fun".
