I know a lot of people might bash on them because live they are not too good yet still in the studio they are probably my favorite band. They are right now the definition of Power Metal. Plus their lyrics always inspire me to want to fight something or someone. Haha...

well first off iv seen them live and they were amazing. but they're not really true power metal. They're too comercial for a start and they're more extreme power metal. they're not epic enough to be proper power metal. if you want the really awesome stuff listen to Blind Guardian / Hammerfall / Rhapsody of Fire / Kamelot etc...

I'm not so big on these guys, though I enjoy watching the Asian guys hair :]
My boyfriend on the other hand.. adores these guys to the extreme.

I only heard about them while playing Guitar Hero 3, "Through Fire and Flames" is awfully long but awesome

Its like a 5-man group of Asians in a power-metal band. They kick-a** as well as dragonforce does.

GODDAMN IT!!!!! How many of you play guitar, because they are an embarressment!!! Guys, they speed up the music. It's literally impossible to play those notes!!! They suck a**!!!! Have you seen their BETCHA CAN'T PLAY THIS!!!! GODDAMN IT!!!! WHY CANT ANYONE REALIZE THAT THEY SUCK!!!!!?????

Dragonforce are the best trapped in the 80's bands of this century. It's a shame being British hasn't made them kick into classical rock mixed with modern hardcore flare. They could of shown other bands how it's done.
The only thing that bugs me about Dragonforce is their hit and miss of their music. An example would be their youtube popular song "Through the Fire and the Flames". It sounds weak compared to their best songs like "Heroes Of Our Time" and "Heart of a Dragon".

If you're calling their guitar playing fake, you're calling all other classic bands guitar playing fake. They can actually play the guitars that fast. The only fake thing about Dragonforce is their 80's approach and the leads singers smooth singing.
Without the speed up of the songs, the songs them selves make no sense. You try and create classical music. It's hard. neutral
