Under a hazy morning sun, in heavy mists and faint breezes, Colette found herself sharply awakened by a large droplet splashing onto her nose from an overhanging leaf. Standing square and rigid, ears twitching she attempted to find the offending tap. When a second drop tumbled not too far away she gave a short snort of laughter and threw her mane back. Area safe, she forgot about her rude awakening and returned to her aimless wandering.
Left, right, forward for hours, twisting through trees and splashing through pools and never a hundred percent certain where she was, with the habitual stop to feed, Colette eventually found herself in unfamiliar territory. Through the fog obscure trees sprang, patches of empty, hollow-sounding ground stood between irregular intervals of thick, gooey mud and the occasional flurry of bird wings scattered near by. Looking down through the drifts of warm droplets, she saw her grey legs wore a thick, blackening paste, her dapple coat was sodden and her mane lay limp over her eyes.
Collete stopped her far-off thoughts sporadically to wonder where she was and if there were any other Nequus in these strange swamps and after coming back to these thoughts several times she began to feel almost lost, for once.
After a few hours of continued travelling and returning to thoughts of her location, Colette, standing in several inches of thick mud, gave in and coincided that, for once, she may need help escaping the oppressive place she had found. She gave a weak cry and found it echoing about her, weaving with the fog. "Oh dear." She sighed.

[OOC: Eh, open for anyone, should probably keep it simple and say only one other character, I'll change the title if anyone joins. I don't have any ideas or plots or anything so you're free to add anything you wish. X.x Feel free to kick me via PM if I'm not replying or give me any tips on how to improve. (x]

 Tanu's head jerked up as he heard a cry not too far off. He had only arrived in the Crystal Lands an hour or so ago, and had stopped near a small pond to graze. The grass was lush here, though not as rich as in D'ob. It was good to travel.
He gave himself a good shake and jumped into a slow lope towards the sound, wondering who else was wandering in these lands today. In a few moments, a pale mare of his kind popped out at him through the fog. This bae was white with a lovely shade of gray on her, though her mane and tail seemed limp and wet. This didn't surprise him, the warm rain fell almost constantly in this lush area. The rain was what kept it so lush. She also seemed to have mud stuck to her legs, which also didn't surprise him much. He wondered if her legs were as white as her body, though it was hard to tell while they were covered in mud. He increased his pace, cantering toward her swiftly. Once he got within hailing distance, he called out to her. "Greetings, dear lady. I could not but help hearing someone through the trees, and I suspect it must have been you." He slowed to a trot while talking, and tossed his white forelock out of his face to get a better view of the bae before him. Lovely. "Can I assist you at all, good lady?"

Colette's ears twitched at the sound of hoof beats. She stood stock-still as they approached, leaning forward and peering through the thin, empty trees and cold mists, watching hopefully. The aspect of an angry Jala herd or a proud, protective mother hadn’t struck her but she felt confident that they would let her pass through with at worst a stern warning and swift n** on the shoulder, it was a problem she occasionally ran into. As the golden stallion cantered into sight she gave a short relieved snort. Just another Bae out for a stroll, she figured. He showed no signs of anger or discomfort and Colette delighted as he addressed her warmly. She noted with intrigue and admiration the small white curls under his eyes, around his legs. She often studied the designs of others and they made splendid collaborations when she thought about the Nequus she had met. Many of the names were forgotten however. The dapple mare lifted one mud-caked foreleg awkwardly. "Just a little… Stuck." She neighed back. A pause and a nibble at a cold string of black fetlock. "I hate to be a bother but I don't suppose you know of a slightly greener plain?" She added, taking a sludgy step ahead.
OOC: Ack, sorry, I need a warning sign or something. o.O;

Ah! Poor maiden. He danced a bit and tossed his mane to the other side of his neck, flicking his tail. "Ah, so I see. I'll be most glad to offer any aid that I can, fair lady," he said with a polite bow of his head. Quickly thereafter he jumped into a swift trot, though when he reached mud, the thick paste tugged at his legs and slowed his pace. It didn't help that with each step, the mud sucked at his feet to keep them in place. He thought nothing of trotting through the mud though, sending splatters onto his upper legs and belly due to his pace. He slowed to a walk when he got close enough to her and offered another polite bow. "Forgive my lack of manners, dear lady, but my name is Shantanu. What beautiful name do others call such a beautiful lady?" The orange stallion was raised with the most strict manners and formalities; his mother had pummeled into his head how to properly address ladies of any species, color, or age. "Allow me to aid you in any way I can, fair lady. I have not long been in this place, for I don't venture out of the valley often. But, as it stands, I am both able and willing to lead you to greener, and less muddy, areas than this, if you would like to venture there."
