What ticks you off when you learn the music, or when you see an amutuer's composition?
For me, it's the boringness. If it doesn't have any good dynamics, I'll hate it. Except for baroque pieces. <3
Classical music makes me fall asleep sometimes. D: I like romantic music. <3
Discuss. :]

Hm, boringness...And any composition that just has really boring chords in the base that change with each note. So, let's say that the person starts on a c, and then moves to g and then a, the chords will automatically be C major, G major and A minor. And that annoys me because it doesn't actually produce an interesting piece. I like bass lines that have had a bit of thought put into them...

Pieces that make no sense, or are boring. It's sometimes difficult to appreciate music, especially contemporary ones, without understanding it first. ><

It depends on how you like your music I guess. Romantic music is ussually more complicated, while if you look back 2000 years, they had simple rythems instead. But ya, the rythems are pretty boring.

Very simple rhythm or chord progression. I like music when it is interesting to try and understand and analyse.
Very famous music can also be annoying because you listen to it too much, for example Beethoven's Symphony no. 5. It is a good symphony, but ALL THE TIME??

There's always the problem of saturation with well-known music. XD

The first movement is the most powerful though. I hope you're not avoiding it just because it's too famous XD
With the well-known pieces, I just tend to listen to them more sporadically--a few weeks ago, I put on the 5th Symphony after a long time of not listening to all of it...and gee, it was wonderful. <3 Yesterday I was even going for Pachelbel's Canon, but that was in the two variations done by David Lanz and George Winston, hehe.

My recording shows the last mvnt. being, maybe not the most powerful, but the most triumphant.

Hahaha... I still listen to more famous pieces too, but it makes me more choosey about what conductor, orchestra, etc. because it is already annoying to hear on things like cell phone ringing or pop music.
Btw, I just mean the 1st movement of Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 razz

JuneeNoodle Btw, I just mean the 1st movement of Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 razz We know. XD Almost every civilized person will think of the 1st movement solely when we refer to the 5th symphony. It's the same deal with the Moonlight sonata, rather unfortunately.
