Heyy. I hate people who think if you have all the T-shirts and every single Panic! item, you're a true fan.
I disagree.
I think if you would stand out in the rain to wait for tickets,
or know each and every word to the song,
or would cry if you heard something happened to one of them,
that's a true fan right there.
it dosen't matter if you own everything, it's affairs of the heart.

I agree. I hate that. People who have all the posters hung up in their room and they talk about Panic! and how they have all this Panic stuff and they act like they actually care so much about the band, but their so busy trying to prove their Panic's "number one fan" they don't take the time to actually appreciate the music.

I agree with `PrimeRib, all that jazz, (like merchandise and media stuff), all of that is just extra, optional fun that comes way after appreciating the music and lyrics. =)

I don't think that's true, I know near enough every word, but I'm not a true fan, I like a lot of other bands more than them. They've only had one album out, if you like it, then you're a fan of their work. Simple as.

yeah...its so dumb. people who say that are just the poser unit of the fanbase...it's so disregarding to the rest of us, because then people automatically label us, the real fans, as posers too.

`PrimeRib I think it's just bonus points if you have all the cool merch. 3nodding Really? I have to disagree.
I think that the merchandise it to make yourself feel good. Like, your contributing to the band in some way. Maybe your spreading the word about Panic around, and that's considered helping out the band.
But if you want bonus points, here's 10. =]

But if you want bonus points, here's 10. =] That's basically what I mean. It's like bonus points for fan-ism. You're contributing to the band (I mean, it's almost like donating to them, because some of the money goes towards them), and Fueled By Ramen. 3nodding I mean, if you're not able to get merch, I'm sure the band wouldnt consider you any less of a fan. I mean, they have enough money as it is! xD
Oh, thank you. redface

Yeah, it sickens me when someone comes up to me and says, "I'm such a Panic! fan!" And then I ask them: "how many songs do they have?" And they'd say: "Uh, I know 'I Write Sins, Not Tragedies.' Does that count?"
someone actually did that.
-sigh-
I was about to slap her.

→♣ I so agree. Like having the most CD's & t-shirts & stuff makes you a better fan. If you appreciate what they do, the music, their shows, not only their merch & their looks than you're a real fan :]
