I always giggle when I see people post/say they don't believe in ghosts, when I've talked with them and played with them as a kid.
It's just funny to me.
What do you do when you confront a "non-believer"? (Other than stake them)

Ignore them. xd For some odd reason, modern america is convinced your beyonds nuts if you believe in dragons. I love people who firmly believe theres no way things like magic, dragons, or energy beyond electricty, etc exist- but they believe in ghosts. (yes, I've encountered several... )

there are alot of those kinds mist. however i had a decent run in with near on sixty gfhosts last night. i felt like my mindd was being attacked.
usuallly i ask them why they think that ( the way they think about enrgy and ghosts) and use logic to prove them wrong.

I don't tend to 'confront' nonbelievers. That has the implication that the believers are absolutely right and the nonbelievers are idiots in denial. That isn't true. We all experience unusual things that we have difficulty labeling in the greater context of existence. Some of us will label a few of these experiences as evidence of ghosts, others will see the exact same experience completely differently. People will interpret in a manner that makes sense to them. If I interpret the odd power surges in my room as the acts of a ghost, that doesn't make that the only right interpretation of that event. Both sides might be well served to be open to the possibility of another perspective be it belief or disbelief.

One of my friends said that some sort of portal got opened in her room last year and it was like a parade of ghosts every night until she built a "wall." I do banishings all the time just out of habit, so I don't have that problem.
I do have this thing where I hear static, like a radio station that's not coming in clear. I hear little bits of conversations that way.

I'm not convinced either way. I maintain the possibility, nothing more or less. I've never experienced anything that comes remotely close to an encounter with a ghost, although I've known some people who have. Interestingly, I've had a history teacher who told us quite simply that he'd seen ghosts, but didn't believe in them. Having had him as a teacher for two years, I hold him in high respect, and believe his denial is legitimate and doesn't mark him as being in denial. He simply accepts other (to him, more rational) explanations, which in the absence of any clear-cut facts on the subject are perfectly legitimate. I also know people who do believe in ghosts, and considering their experience, that's perfectly legitimate as well.
Perspective and reality are tricky things. I'm not qualified to judge. xp

for me, its weird. I mean I believe in them, but for some reason Im terrified of them. Like if I even sense that theres something in the room with me, then I will start singing and get the heck outta there, good sense or not. (I dunno why but Ive got it in my head that if I sing then it will protect me against anything thats in the room, long enough for me to get out of the room. anyone have a guess why? because I dont...)

I'm not into confrontation of the nonbelievers. I believe what I do because of personal experience. I realize that it doesn't make sense to most and probably shouldn't.
Generally speaking ghosts aren't important enough for me to form an opinion on them. I've never experienced them and I'm never going to because my guides and I have an agreement on it.
As a side note I think it is presumptuous of people to think that others should believe something that is not the status quo because that person "has seen it". How does one claiming to talk to ghosts make it real or believable? By approaching something this way you are implying that your experiences are more valuable or more right than that other person's. I mean if I claimed that I hung out with a flying spaghetti monster all the time and then got angry because you didn't believe such a monster existed, then I'm the one being unreasonable, not the "nonbeliever"

When I was little I played with a ghost in our spare bedroom. My mom said I used to call it my "other mother" and set a place for her at the table. I can't remember any of this, but Mom says she could sometimes hear someone's footsteps walking around my room when she knew I was taking a nap.
I definitely believe there are ghosts. I think more people have had run ins with them than they would like to believe, too. Most people just write it off as a strange noise or their imagination, however.
