I'm kind of regretting not playing flute for marching band. I mean, I still think marching trumpet is awesome, but I look back at the flute section and, oh, goddess, they're bad.
I mean, yeah, they're all eighth graders, but come on now. Why is our district's music program so bad? They can't even hit F6.
I've outgrown my school, I guess. I'm too poor for private lessons, but my band director says it's the only way I can improve, because he has nothing left to teach me.
Especially now that Heather graduated, I am leagues in front of where the other flute players in my school stand in skill. So the poor marching band flute section is totally floundering. I feel so bad for them. xD; Since I switched, the only vet left in the flute section is a freshman. Oh, boy.
Anyway, there's practice tomorrow. I'm excited for the season either way. We'll see how it goes.

fdkslfjksl I really need to practice. DDD: Not even funny. I haven't touched my flute in way too long. I've been practising trumpet for silly marching band. ~____~ *is shot*
Seeing a flute at Otakon really got me itching to play. But it's kinda hard when there are sleeping children in my room. >>; Rawr.
Catching up after my week-long internet vacation is sooo tedious. xD;

Hurray for Suzumiya Haruhi! XD *has finally gotten motivated to practice... somehow*
D: I feel so bad about switching to trumpet, because the two flute players we have aren't exactly stellar... ~_~ But I can't switch back, because then we'd be in the same situation, in lacking trumpets. And the trumpets are pretty damn important in our show. D:
Ugh, I wish our area had some other good flute players. I wish I could help them out and stay where I am. suxx0rz.
