Okay two things.
With this months once again 3-item donation. I want to collect a full set of the mecha armor, so that requires 4 more (since I already own one), and then 1 of each of the other two items. And I need help! So I'm asking HELP! The items aren't doing very well in the market considering how they aren't that great, so I estimate that by the end of the week, I'll only need around 60-70k to complete my quest.
That being said, next month is also my birthday. Just a heads up. biggrin

I figure the letters are only going downhill. They need to stop doing 3 monthly collectibles unless they plan on doing it permanently.

The DONATION ITEMS have been going downhill since the end of '04. D: There have only been a handful of good ones since then.
I wish they would make ones that have only ONE way to wear them. Or, at least stay the same item... like the BTK and OMFG hats, you know? Not this, here's a cloud and it turns into like seventy other things.

lol they shoulda gone back to simple items that looked out of the ordinary. They've gotten to RPGish. Whatever happened to the days of the backwards Gaia t-shirt. I like my avi now though. It looks sweet, especially with that mimzy thing XD.

Likewise. I'm trying to get myself a full set for '07... Never done it before and I think the rainbow of letters is fun to look at, especially when it's in your inventory. :P
The mimzy thing is pretty sweet looking... Kind of like Samus's little energy ball in Super Smash Bros Melee.
I will say the quest items have been pretty kickass. They sucked at first but now they're pretty sweet. The little detective pack is hella awesome.

I dunno I think the new monthly collectables look cool although I never owned one or two, but they look cool I just wish they would go back to just TWO not THREE collectables jeez why did they make the task of choosing which item you want more difficult?

Gaia is desperate for money. They make their money from people buying these envelopes. And if there are three items in the inventory each of them turning into separate things, multiply and see how much money to stand to make from each envelope if everyone gets 1 of everything for 1 of each variable.
I think it's a bad idea personally, but I'm not complaining. It just means that I have to work that much less and more at the same time, kinda scary.

Gaia makes money off of ads, too. I don't really think they have to worry much about their company and it's money...
Anyway, 3 items in one is alright with me but they should only do it for like, special circumstances. Not just whenever they feel like it. First of all, they keep making a huge deal about the 3 item thing when the letter is about to open... It's been 3 items for like, almost the entire year now, and every time they do it they're like, "OH MY GOD, HOLY s**t. THERE ARE 3, YES, 3 ITEMS THIS TIME. WOW."
And, holy crap I bet there will be 3 next month too! D:
Or at least, pick something. If they wanna do 3 all the time, then SAY that... not just, "hm guys, I think we should give 'em three this month, but not the next month, and then two more months of three, and then just two. okay? :D"

Well the problem was that they wanted to do it on months with big holidays. Unfortunately, with the exception of the Autumn months (which I think there are a few in there too), and March there are no months with no holidays. So they've been doing 3 items every day. Plus I'm guessing the admins are caving into the artists. Artists want to make more outside of the box items, Admins want more practicality. I agree, 2 items except for like the end of the year and the middle of the year would be best.

Yeah... I get what you mean. I don't really like buying envelopes though, I have enough money to just buy the item I want. >_> That's usually it for me. And no worries Aegis, the prize money from that contest is coming soon, and it'll go to you.

lol don't waste any money until those envelopes drop to the pits, around 5k. They'll jump back up slowly afterwards. I think the 31st will be its lowest point. If it hasn't yet reached 5k or lower by then, I suggest waiting till the end of the month. That way the excitement for a WAAAY better next month's item may help to depreciate the July envelope. With that in mind, the August Envelope may start off very small because of disappointment. Well, we'll see. Aside from that, August is my real month of birth smile
