What songs are you able to play on your instrument?
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2007 6:59 pm

I'm a bit of a newbie guitarist so not too many.

  • Holiday -- Green Day
  • Boulevard of Broken Dreams -- Green day
  • Animal I have become -- Three Days Grace
  • Du Hast -- Rammstein
  • Hells Bells -- Ac/Dc
  • TNT -- Ac/Dc
  • Dirty Deeds -- Ac/Dc
  • Back in Black -- Ac/Dc
  • Iron Man -- Ozzy
  • Crazy Train -- Ozzy

Some of the songs are just bits and pieces.

I know a library of Led Zeppelin songs thanks to my first few years of guitar lessons. sweatdrop

I don't really learn songs a lot as I just like to fiddle around with my own tunes more often. I did recently learn Swallow the Sun's cover of Candlemass' Solitude, but that song is EASY (still great razz ).

That's sort of a question that's hard to answer. I can play a lot of stuff, most of it I don't remember though but most of it's classical so it wouldn't make much of a difference. The hardest thing I can do though is Invention #4. I can also do a decent rendition on Bowie's song, Changes. Only for piano though, there's not much popular music you can do on French Horn and I'm not good enough at guitar to do anything exciting.

Sight-read almost anything on piano. eek

Greensleeves is my best on classical guitar. Not sure about others because they are mostly studies. redface I am also writing guitar arrangement for guitar from the piano music "The Heart Asks for Pleasure First". I use pick very poorly on electric guitar.

Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Time Has Come (Luna Sea), Destination (Oblivion Dust) on full drum set. All the other things are more studies like paradiddle, roll, etc.

Everything else sight-read very poorly. Mostly I play with memory. sweatdrop
