As we all know, the third and final game in the G.U. series is due in the US and other various places in the world in a few months' time. The due date that I have found is 9/14/07. *edit* While this is the date that I have heard, others say 9/12 and 9/11. I guess you could just stalk the store of your choice when it gets closer to these dates. E3 official trailer Contains spoilers. English title cover I told you I'd get a better picture and in English and I did! So here it is! Afraio does anyone know who RUMOR is? Sorry to double post, but I've never heard of anyone or any title in the .hack// series named Rumor.

Rumor is a Virus AI, that you find about in AI Buster 1, he was stored in an epitaph known as the One Sin, if you have played the liminality games you should know what that is. anyway. Balmung and Orca as beginning players defeated and killed the one sin for the first time which released rumor into the game and at that exact moment the first aura was born.
CC Corp with knowledge of the one sin's death gave balmung his wing cape that you see him with and both of them their titles Balmung of the Azure sky, and Orca of the Azure sea because of their equivilent strength to the strongest of all epitaphs. Orca is also known in the real world as Tokioka which you can find out about in the game, Tokioka created Rumor as the ultimate enemy of the game but when he found out that he had been awakened before he could do anything about it he was fired from CC Corp.
RUMOR is how can you say the reason the game has lasted so long according to the anime, he has the power to control the future of the world he is like yggdrasil of digimon. whatever he says will happen. for instance Morgana was created to give birth to aura and then when she was born morgana was supposed to be self deleted. but rumor spoke to her and told her that she had all this awesome power, so morgana through her programming out the window and killed the first aura. hence why she is asleep in .hack//sign. now if you watch the opening to .hack//sign you see a woman with a visor dancing in the cyber world that is Morgana. Rumor once fought three avis but all he did was dodge them then he said "Wait why am i doing this this is stupid." he stopped in the fight and then commanded "as your majesty i order you 3 to kill yourselves" and then the avis on their own said "yes lord" and cut their own head off. meanwhile in the realworld the players all went into comas. rumor exists only to spread rumors in the world as long as he does this he will exist and people wont quit the game.
