The Sun Temple

In the barren sands of the Spirit Realm, where the sun burns brightly and the sandworms play in the sifting dunes, resides an ancient stone dias with a massive mirror standing atop it housed in an alcove. It appears to be a shrine built for worship but there's no clues in the inscriptions to tell who the shrine was built for or who built it.

(7/16/07)
A mysterious half burried dias discovered deep in the southern dunes.

*Oddplume flies carefree over the hot desert sands enjoying the ridiculously burning breeze. He spots a bright gleam over the horrizon and scratches his head.* "Somehow I doubt that a reflection that bright is a loose quarter in the sand." *He speeds up as he approaches the light."

*Oddplume starts to cover his eyes as he approaches the reflection. He drops out of the air and onto some stone flooring as he approaches a massive ornate mirror. He scratches his head again as he looks around the floor and at the mirror.*

"Hmm... So much for no signs of civilization in this dry desert. Allthough if there were people the Sandworms probably polished them off." *He folded his arms and shook his head.*

*An engine revs in the distance, slowly approaching.*

*Oddplume turns his head toward the engine noise.* "That's probably who I think it is."

*Goll flies over a sand dune, riding a black dirt bike.* "YEEEEEEE-HAAAAAA!" *He lands at the base of the dune and slides to a halt.* "Hey, Oddplume! What's up?"

"Oddplume points to the large mirror at the center of the stone dais.* "Other than that, nothing I suppose. You didn't run into any sandworms out there did you?"

*Phaeton teleports in behind Oddplume.* "Damn it's hot out here!" *She looks around to see the surrounding desert.* "Oh."

"In any event, this thing seems solid enough to where the Sandworms won't break through it, so why not take a look around?"

*Hops off his bike.* "I hit a couple of the Wormies on the way here, but... Come on, do you really expect them to get the better of me?" *Pats his shotgun, holstered on his side.* "And there's always Avuye Blue." *Pulls his sword out of the AEther, swings it in an arc around her head, then sends it back in one fluid movement.*

"You're truly invulnerable." *Oddplume makes an about face and starts walking toward the giant Mirror. An altar sits just in front of the mirror with some carvings and a dial in it.*

*Goll trails along behind Oddplume.* "Any ideas on this place?"

"Not really. I've never been here before. Divine lore talks about some special temples hidden through out the Spirit realm but they're generally vague."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 18, 2007 1:31 am

"What divine lore isn't?"
