Compared to most of you guys I'm a relatively new fan of Lunar, I didn't even know that it existed until I saw a small clip from SSSC on X-Play in 2005. I lucked out and found a refurbished copy of SSSC at a local Game Stop for only about $20. I asked the guys at the store about Eternal Blue, but they were like "Yeah...Good luck with that..." So I looked around and called a few more places but all I got was "Nope, don't have any, try E-bay." So after some trial and error at the Amazon marketplace I found a factory sealed copy of Eternal Blue Complete with all the extras for about $150. I bought it, and loved it. The Lunar games will always be some of my favorites, and I don't have any regrets about paying that much, but I was wondering:

1.To those of you who bought the game when it first came out, how much was the original store price?

2.To others like me who had to buy it after it had left stores, did you get any better deals?

I bought both SSSC & EBC (both collectors editions) when they first came out, and I do believe that they were around $60 or $70. It's been a while, so I'm not positive on that, though. That's for the bigger box with the leather bound instruction booklet, and the cloth map for SSSC and Lucia's Pendant for EBC. I also was on preorder for them, so I got the Ghaleon punching puppet with SSSC, and I got an EBC mouse pad.

Those were the days, man. Awesome games, cool collectibles. Working Designs, you are sorely missed.

I also bought on the game on the first days. I miss all the free stuff. I just LOVED Lucia's pendant. I used to wear it until it broke. (sigh)

I think Doram's about right on the prices, 'cause I also got mine when they were first released, and I think I paid somewhere in that range for them.

And I understand your pain, Shaolina. I found out a couple months ago that the black piece in Lucia's pendant is acutally glued on, and over time it'd dried out and lost its hold. ^^; Before that, I used to wear it sometimes, but I'll have to wait until I can find a way to re-attach the black piece before I wear it again.

I was around ten when SSSC and EBC came out so I had my dad buy them for me and the first one was sixty and the second one was seventy. I do however regret not knowing about preordering but then agan I was only ten.

As for my Lucia's Pendant, I keep it in little cloth sack it came in and I actually have it locked up with my valuables. Who's hardcore now! I just think it was a bit too heavy to just wear around for a necklace.

I would do anything to get the Ghaleon punching puppet and mousepad ;.;

I'd definetly pay $150.00 for Lunar if something happened to my mint condition scratch free copies ^^ I'm very proud at how I can screw up any other disc game but handle Lunar like it's made of crystal.

I bought my EBC used with all the extras except the mousepad for $15.00. My favorite is Silver Star Story, but I don't have a copy. I really should look for it though since it's my favorite game.
