Dukel sat on his bed feet arched infront of him. He was laying comfortably in the home Seiaeka had given him a few months back. She was still living here but the room he had managed to customize a little. Dukel thought diligently about the book that sat open in his lap. Lately he had been researching past species of life trying to get a better grasp on that around him. The Ancients had a harder and more complex system than humans and most other lifeforms. Meaning if he was going to be a doctor his understanding had to grow wider so if he ever had to heal them he could do it with a positive stance of mind.
Lifting up his cell phone he flipped it open. It had just started vibrating and if he was right it was his current girlfriend. "Hai?" he spoke into the phone closing the book that was in his lap. As the voice on the other side of the phone broke out Dukel sighed. He girlfriend was in a rant about how he was always working. As he inserted random 'Bu Babe..' and 'What?' into the conversation he rolled his eyes trying to get a grasp on what in the hell she was talking about. Pulling out a notebook he had been writing in he looked through it, nothing mentioned any dates for anything. As his girlfriend finally spoke the words he knew would be coming out 'I break up with you' just a bit more mixed up he snickered apologizing and hanging up the phone sliding it across the side table by his bed.

Seiaeka stood against his door frame, arms and legs crossed in a cool pose. She stared at him, knowing full well what was happening on the phone. She'd known him for a month or so now, and he had had several girlfriends in that time. "Lost another fickle little girl?" she asked, stepping into the room and walking over to the case that contained the stuff for the Ancients. Opening it, she frowned a little, somewhat disappointed that he hadn't captured a soul yet. "Has Arathiel been cooperating with your medical inspections?" she enquired idly, turning to face him, leaning on the desk.

"I am not surprised I lost another 'fickle' girl," said Dukel looking down at his notepad. Raising his head he turned to face her "Yes, he has. It was difficult at dirt but alls I am doing now is examining him. If you looking for why I haven't caught a soul this is why." Pulling out a rather large notebook he tossed it at her. On the front page it contained just the introduction and the index. Highlighted in red was the soul he had chosen. Throughout the five hundred page notebook was countless hours off research. Dukel was highly insomniac so it didn't bother him. "That is my research I have done, I chose the soul yesterday and I know where I may be able to find it."

Seiaeka started at the soul's title. "Are you sure you can manage this on your own, Boy?" she had gotten into the habit of calling him boy since she was considerably older than he was, though she would never mention her age to anyone. Also, she had known him since he was a child and thus, the name just set in. "Athena is a very difficult woman to handle, much less find. Then you may have to fight her." she warned him. She dind't want her only employee to be killed the first month on the job.

Turning his head he cocked an eyebrow. "Honestly, I know that, but who in the world am I going to use for help. None the less one positive thing is I do know where I can find Athena, or her descendant for that matter. Pushing off his covers he stood up closing his eyes till the head-rush passed. Picking up a bag he sighed. "The lady is Amirel Dono, she was a head doctor of a hospital till he got hit with a sudden disease. Everyone calls it a gods curse but from what the news said she lies in every day in bed like she is enjoying herself. She is somehow enjoying the curse that withing the week will kill her. She lives five hundred and sixty-two miles away though.

"Well, I can leave Arathiel here to take care of things." she shrugged. "If you want to make it on time, we had better leave now." she said, sauntering out of the room and gathering her things, including a white Ranger's cloak from her own closet. "Shall we go?" she called from the main room that acted as her office as she scribbled down a note for Arathiel.

"Yes, yes," he said grabbing his cape and necklace slipping them on. He didn't care if this cloak truly wasn't his, he could finally fit in it once in his life. Grabbing the directions he had made yesterday he walked out of his room closing the door behind him. He had several private things lying in that room so he hated it when people entered without telling him. Luckily there wasn't anyone he had to worry about. "We have to go here first." he said pointing on a map to Seiaeka.

"We'll have to take the train then." she said leading him into the street, "DOn't worry about the ticket price, I'll pay for it." she said rushing out into the busy city streets with him.
It took the a while, but the made it to the train station in time to catch one to their destination. Paying for the two tickets, they clamored onot the train and into a compartment. Looking around, Seiaeka noticed only one other person occupied it. Shrugging and walking in, she placed her bag up on the rack and pulled out her Ancient tome and took a seat across from the man.

Dukel followed staring down at the notebook he held. Following her into a compartment he sat down looking at Seiaeka he sighed. "Are you sure that wasn't to expensive? The ticket price was outrageous." Noticing the man Dukel smiled at him and went back to reading his notebook scribbling more noted very quickly into a new one. Being a doctor helped a lot, his handwriting was very quick and still legible by the normal eye. As his eyes scanned the lined pages he moved the important notes from the forty-seven page Athena notebook into a small three page one to keep with him when they made it there.

Ashael Teisen looked up as two people entered the car where he sat, blinking his eyes a few times he looked down at his book, making a small wave without even looking at them. He scooted closer to the corner that he was sitting in, as if trying to make himself invisible. Black cat ears on his ear twitched a bit, along with the fuzzy cat tail that rested on the bench next to him. Flipping through a few of the pages in his book his blue eyes narrowed.
Sighing he rubbed at them with a the gray sleeve of his turtleneck. Despite the sweltering heat of summer he still wore his winter clothing. What a strange person he was. Sneezing quietly, he set the book on his lap to rub at his eyes with both hands, returning to squinting at his book.

Seiaeka looked up at him. "You should take the time to look away everyonce in a while, Sir. It's better for your eyes." she said from deep within her white hood that hid her face entirely. She returned to her large book which was easily eight inches thick, thirteen inches long, and ten inches wide, bound in midnight blue with silver markings.

"You and reading those huge books," said Dukel sighing and frowning a little. Looking over to the passenger he grazed before lifting his head to make sure his horns weren't showing. Sliding the thicker of the two notebooks into his bag he read over the smaller one before closing it. He was sitting near the window so he gazed out at the quickly passing landscape, so breathtaking.

Ashe looked up, still squinting at her. "O-oh.. I can't. Not right now." He replied, nodding. Suddenly he began to rummage through his pocket. He pulled out a small black case, opening it he pulled out some thick rimmed black glasses. Putting them on he blinked a few times, staring at the book. "Much better..." He muttered to himself, curling up in the corner, totally aborbed in the book. His tail flicked about, as if he were in a semi-playful mood, or irritated. You can't ever really tell with cats.

She stared at him and pondered. "Are you from this town?" she asked, in an attempt to find out more about this person and create conversation. He seemed interesting, she would have to report him to Arathiel when she got beck, but first, information.

Ashe looked up, tail flicking in clear mild annoyance. "F-from here? Y-yes, you could s-say that." He stammered, ears flattening against his head. "Why do you ask?" His eyes narrowed a bit, suspicios. He couldn't see this womans face, and yet she was asking him questions. He curled up a little more, pulling his tail up to rest across his lap.
