The young woman yawned a bit, stretching. She had been letting herself sleep much to long, and now when she needed up early, she couldn't help but feel a bit sleepy still. It seemed like she came at a good time though, it wasn't as crowded as it normally was.
"A lot of people are probably still in bed," she commented, then smiled. "That works for me though. I'll be able to find the better produce before it's picked clean." She had a basket on her arm and a bag she had strapped onto her back.
"Let the shopping begin!" she said with enthusiasm, then started off, looking at a few of the stalls.

Arathiel had awoken that morning to Seiaeka's note saying that she was on a trip to find a soul for Dukel. Sighing he put on his Rangers cloak and picked up a basket, heading out to the morning market.
Once there he'd managed to gather a few things for Seiaeka; the few rare ingridients she needed for her magic, and some groceries. As he wandered on his usual stroll, he noticed and unusual woman, different from the rest of the humans. Intreagued he followed her her around, gathering information to see if she fit the requirements.

Mizu was busy starring at her new prize, an odd looking mellon that she had haggled the shopkeeper down to half price. Knowing she'd find some use for it she placed it into her basket and peered about to see if there was anything else of interest. Whatever it was, that one cloaked fellow seemed to have similar ones, seeing as she could always catch a glimpse of him wherever she went. It didn't really bother her that much though. He...or she assumed it was a he...had every right to be here as she did.
"Fish...fish sounds good...I wonder where the best place for that is..." she pondered to herself.

Aratheil watched her with an amused smile playing across his lips as she haggled ther merchant of his melon. "Resouceful." he muttered to himself as he followed her, ocassionally buying a fruit or vegetable, and taking notes on her, looking as though he was cheking things off a list as to not look conspicuious.

She passed a few of the fish mongers, knowing just with a look their so called 'fresh fish' was indeed not. Soon she found a stand that seemed promising, and saw a rather lovely looking red snapper. She wasn't as lucky as she was with the mellon seller, but she did get a slightly reduced price. She even got him to suggest what herbs to use with it, and now was heading over to a spice shop she had passed earlier
And again she saw the hooded fellow. He seemed awefully busy.

Aratheil stepped up to the spice shop right next to her, ordering a variety of herbs and combinations. "I have a special packge here as well." he said with his crytalline tingle in his voice to the vendor. He turned and looked the woman over and nodded in greeting as the man went back for the package.

Mizu was staring at the herbs, unsure of what to get first when the man caught her eye again. This time he nodded at her in greeting. She gave a soft 'hello' back and looked at the herbs again, picking up a few things here and there and looking at them and then either setting them back or gathering them in her basket to pay for when the vendor came back.

The vendor returned with a large package for the Ancient and he paid for his supplies and turned to leave, making sure to slow down and inspect something, waiting for the woman to leave first.

As the vendor returned she set her selections in front of him, and after a little bit of chatter she payed for the herbs and placed them in her bag, seeing as her small basket was getting full with the fish and fruit. As she turned to leave, she gave a sort of a 'good day sir' nod to the hooded man, and then left for her next destination.

Arathiel stepped out after her, intending to follow her for the duration of the day or until he determined whether she would be suitable enough for the 'Project' or not.
As to not arouse suspicion from her, he walked past her in the busy crowd, heading for another booth in the market that was selling fragrant loaves of fresh bread when there was a small commotion. Someone came running through the crowd, a voice screaming thief in the distance. There was a whril of fabric as the Ancient wrapped the end of his cloak around the theif's head and brought him violently to the ground, knocking him out cold. Unfortunately this also tore off the Ancient's cloak, fully revealing his inhuman hair and wings.
He glanced up at the woman, making full eye contact briefly before pulling on his cloak and running off into an alley before anyone could fully register what they had seen.

Mizu blinked for a moment as the man's gaze met her own, and before she could at least comment on his well played maneuver, which did impress her, he took off running. He...was more like her then the others here, yet he seemed more apt to hide it then she was, and she was curious as to why, truth be told.
So, placing all her items in the bag as to not have them fall out of the basket, she started off after him, now very curious as to who he was. With the cloak he was just like everyone else, just one of the crowd, but he was more then that underneath. Like her...somewhat.

Arathiel had run off into a heavily forested area at the edge of town and stopped in the trees to catch his breath, the hood of his cloak falling as he tossed his head back to gasp for air. His strange jeweled hair flowed about from the wind, catching the sunlight and glimmering through the thick trees. In the few years that he had been living in the Outlands with his caretaker, not a single person had ever seen his face.

The forest was Mizu's forte. She could navigate easily through them, often using the trees as her path if they were close enough together, which was the case in this situation. As the quickly sprawled from branch to branch, a faint glimmer in the distance caught her eye.

The Ancient sat down to catch his breath, thinking that he was safe for the time being, he was usually pretty good at evasion, especially in the forest; though that was before his hair was all shiney and jeweled.
