Seriously, if it hadn't been for Beyblade, my team would have been left behind in the dust...
One of the orgs I joined in school is called 'Touhou no Yuujin', and at our first assembly (today, July 1 cool , we had a game called 'Anime Jeopardy'. Apparently, one of the mods is a Beyblade fan, too; in five out of seven categories - namely Anime, Manga, People, J-Pop, and Vocabulary - the question worth 500 points was related to Beyblade!
Here's a rundown:
Vocab - What does the word 'seijuu' translate to? (Answer: What is a 'bit beast'?)
J-Pop - Ai Orikasa sang this song in duet with Aya Hisakawa. It was the ending theme for 801 TTS Airbats. (Answer: 'What is Taiyou ga Atatameta Kimochi?')
People - Since March 2005, this seiyuu took over for Nobuyo Oyama in voicing popular cat-robot Doraemon. (Answer: 'Who is Wasabi Mizuta?')
Manga - In what year did the first volume for the Beyblade Manga series come out? (Answer: 'When is the year 1999?')
Anime - In all three seasons of the anime Beyblade, how many episodes were there? (Answer: 'How many is 52 episodes in the English dub and 51 in the original Japanese?')
The Red Team (of which I was a member for that game) was really lagging behind in points, what with our representative raising his hand for every question, which we'd get either right or wrong. But our comeback started when someone picked J-Pop for 100 points. The answer to the question was Utada Hikaru (rather, 'Who is Utada Hikaru?') and from there... wooh, boy.
The questions for 'People' and 'J-Pop' were a bit hard; now I feel good about researching on each seiyuu's discography, if they have any. xd Haha! Orikasa-san and Hisakawa-san met again! And they sang together! Oh, and if you're wondering who Wasabi Mizuta is, she voiced Boris/Bryan...
Bryan... and Doraemon...? rofl

Wow, the guild's... dying.
Only kidding, people. Anyway, Kei, what's with the new topics? You bored or something? Most likely, yes; I should know...
Looks like someone had fun sharing her knowledge xd . Seriously, I'm glad you had fun, Kei-nee. But geez, how does all that information fit in your head?!

Why the new topics? I want everyone to have some new stuff to discuss (to some extent) when they get back!
And as for how all this info fits in my tiny brain... I have absolutely no idea. It just...does, even if I've read the info for only a few seconds. As long as I deem it relevant, it gets sucked into my 'data files' and gets stored there.
Take note, though, that I'm not some cyber-human... xd
Hang on a tick... Kai, you have a same brain I do ('sponge' brain); why are you so...surprised at the amount of info I can fit in my head?

To bad the best thing I know is Wikipedia and absolute anime, which both are either untrustable or very lacking

Try using Anipike; it's got lots of links to different anime sites - even the official ones. Good luck trying to read the Japanese, though.

I thought you'd be used to Kei's freaky memory, Rei-rei... Ah, well... -shrug-
You're not the only one who's jealous, though. -hugs-
Does anyone know which blade base would be best for a combination-attack type Beyblade? Raul's roped me into making one for him out of the spare parts we found (don't worry, Kei, it isn't from your stash).
By the way, what do I do with your Beyblade Champion certificate? Should I put it in your file cabinet before the baby bro gets at it?

Baby sister! -glomps Rei- Noooo! Don't cry! I don't like it when you cry; you make me feel guilty that I made you cry... sad
Kai: Combo-attack blade? Uh...I'm not sure anymore. Just make sure Raul keeps away from that certain cabinet, okay...?
And as for the certificate -
:O
You found it?! You actually found my Beyblade Champion's certificate?!!! Wow, thanks a lot for that, bro. If you can find a way to scan it in, please do so; if not, than its okay. I'll just get it when I come home for the semestral break. In the meantime, yeah, you guessed right: put it in my file cabinet.
Thanks again!
-hugs Rei again-

Uchihara-Katoshi Does anyone know which blade base would be best for a combination-attack type Beyblade? Flat-tipped bases are good for attack. Depends what Attack Ring you use with it to make it combination.
