The day was slowly fading and soon it would be night. But, Lilith, old and wise alpha wolf that she was, knew that there was still a fair share of life left. And that meant she still had time for a quick patrol through her own lands. Of course, she had more then enough foot soldiers to take care of this, but Lilith liked the paws on approach. She was the leader, yes, and that meant all she had to do was dictate to another where to go and what to do, but to her that read wrong somehow. She enjoyed taking on small roles from time to time. Who knew..
maybe it reminded her where she had come from. Who she used to be.
Whatever the case, now she could be seen slinking in amongst the woodline, casting a heavy maw here and there. Looking up at the sky as birds cawed and flew over head and then back down again as a timid squirrel ducked out of her path and into the wooded area for safety.
She wasn't sure if she would see anything amiss here.
But, she was eager to find it.

With a small wag of his behind, tail wagging rather manically, the pup leapt with a playful growl, landing in the pile of leaves with an excited yip, watching as they flew into the air before floating back to the ground. Nose twitching lightly, he took another large leap forwards, sending more leaves flying, enjoying the sight of them twirling and dancing around in the air, before falling calmly and smoothly back to the earth.
How was Rorak supposed to know these were packlands? Well, of course, the borderlines and the clear markings that these lands were owned was a big giveaway, but the pup was too young and spirited to really think they mattered. He hadn't even noticed the scent carried by the wind, of the older, more mature wolf. His body wriggling playfully as always, a third leap was taken, though this time a branch got in the way and he lost his footing, stumbling forwards with a yelp of surprise. Landing on his stomach, Rorak lifted his head slightly, glancing around before dropping it again, tired from the game he'd been playing. All four limbs were splayed out in different directions, but the pup was currently in a lazy mood. Too l;azy to move.

Lilith heard the small puppy before she had seen him. The older wolf had always had a soft spot for the young and young at heart even if she had a very tough calculated exterior. She moved swiftly and freely through her lands as ears perked forward and tail hung heavy over her back, displaying the dominance she held. She, afterall, was the other alpha, but was held more regally then even Karrim. Her word and her word alone was the law around here.
But she still held a certain soft spot and thus she would not view this little one as a tresspasser. Instead she snuck up on him, watching him playing for a few moments, light orbs ticking from the leaves to the small wolf and then back again.
When the pup's play finally seemed to be over she let out a soft non commital sound and moved out into the open, making herself known.
"Have fun, little wolf?" she asked, staring down over him.

Rorak certainly wasn't expecting the visit from the older, more mature wolf, practically jumping out of his skin with a frightened yelp, scrambling to his feet and stumbling backwards in surprise. It took him several moments to process what she'd said.
Have fun? Well, yeah. Would've been more fun if he'd had someone to play with, but the pup decided not to mention this fact. Tongue lolling out of his mouth, since he couldn't help himself, Rorak gave a playful bark, leaping from side to side, suddenly full of energy again. No respect was being shown to Lilith - he didn't know she was an Alpha, and even if he did, he wouldn't show much more respect. Rorak was a slow learner, really.
"Yeah!" came the enthusiastic answer, with a wag of his tail. "But a bit lonely. But that doesn't matter really."

Lilith did not expect respect to be shown to her from someone as small as a pup. So she was not surprised when the small creature began to bark and leap from side to side, merely pup's play. As she looked down at him it couldn't be seen whether she was smiling or whether she was scowling at this little intruder, but those that knew her well knew what look had crossed her maw.
It was a smile.
"Lonely?" she said, feigning surprise, as if this word was a nasty creature that had risen and tried to bite her. "Do you know what a pack is little wolf?" she asked, and then without waiting for an answer she continued, "A group of wolves who help and look after each other. I run this pack here, I am the alpha. With a pack...."
This time the smile did grow, much larger and would be noticeable to the young one. "you would be lonely no more."

At first, the pup mis-interpreted Lilith's maw as a scowl, lowering his head a little, shuffling backwards. But then she began to speak, and he stood up straight, cocking his head to the side curiously. A pack? He was about to say no before she continued anyway, Rorak's nose twitching as he listened carefully.
No longer lonely? That sounded fun! He could...like...play games every day! How fun would that be!? With a merry bark, Rorak hopped to the side, tail wagging at an incredibly fast rate.
"Oh oh oh! Can I join one! Please please pleeeease!?"

Lilith was pleased with this new outcome. The young were easily led and being around the others would give this youth of not only a sense of family and protection but also instill the values the pack upheld.
Or lack of values to be precise.
"Of course you can!" She said, leaning down a bit so he could see more of her and she wouldn't appear so big and threatening. "Would you like me to show you around, young one?"

Rorak's turquoise eyes flashed, his body quivreing in anticipation as he watched the older wolf, waiting for the answer. When it came, he gave a yip of joy, spotting a flash out of the corner of his eye, instantly racing out to catch it. Without realising it was his tail. He chased it in circles for a bit, before realising, pausing with a cocked head as he watched Lilith, tongue lolling from his mouth in a rather cute way.
"Yeah yeah yeah!"

Lilith watched him, her cold exterior seeming to melt away when it came to all things youth. Her own adult children were often spoiled and prided when she was in the comfort of unseeing eyes. Even though at times she could be hard she when she had to be. Oh what could she say, she had a soft spot for the young, her maternal instincts seeming to exist in every fiber of her being.
Though on the outside she could still be as calous as she could if need be. She chuckled at his pup's play, but quickly nodded and jerked her head for him to follow. Every pup or teen was treasured in the pack. You never knew what they would grow up to be. For all she knew she could have a general on her hands, or even better..a seer or a shaman. One never knew the future of these things.
"Welcome to your new home," she said as she stepped into the realm that led to her packlands. "Everyone here will be your new family. If you ever need any help, or someone to play with...they would be more then happy to take care of you."

Home? Rorak did like that word. It sounded so professional, like everything was sorted. But it couldn't be, could it? It had taken such a short span of time, surely there must be more to do? Shouldn't he meet other pack members or something? And family? Wasn't mum and dad his family? Not that he had any, really.
A family. He liked the idea of that. Did that mean brothers and sisters and everything too!? That meant like...fun! And playing! He gave a small yip of happiness, jumping into the air, suddenly feeling adrenaline pumping through his veins in excitement, giving him extra energy of sorts.
"Okay okay okay!" he barked, seeming to have taken to saying things three times in excitement, "Where are they all!? Do they play tag!?"

Lilith continued to walk, so much bigger then the small pup. If one were just looking head on they probably wouldn't even be able to see the little pup near her legs. But that was fine. Only see the alpha was enough for any, even a pack member, to know to stay away unless there was an important matter to discuss with the older female.
She chuckled, "Their here, there, everywhere in these lands. I don't think you'll have to look too hard to find them. Most stay around the waterfall or in the more forested areas. If you ever need to find someone you use this call," she lifted her head up and howled to demonstrate.
"Tag?" she smiled at the thought, "Yes, tag is a fun game. I'm sure you'll find someone to play with you. And if they don't want to....just say Lilith said they had to," she added, amused.
"I have to tend to.....adult matters, but there should be some freshly caught came there," she pointed her snout to a nearby den, "help yourself. And if you need anything, remember the call."

Rorak padded along beside Lilith, not really watching where he was going. His head was turned, looking up towards his new Alpha, tongue lolling out of his mouth while eyes twinkled with respect. He nearly tripped over a twig, he was too busy looking up to Lilith with respect and excitement.
He paused, maw forming a small 'o' shape in awe as Lilith howled, the pup watching the shape of her mouth and the tone used carefully. He even gave it a quick try, but soon stopped, embarrassed. And tag? They did know it? A merry little yip of excitement followed, Rorak jumping about, chasing a leaf. He soon stopped again, as Lilith said she had to leave, however.
Ears curved down as the pup whimpered lightly, tail folding between his legs. The mention of food soon stopped this, however, as with a merry little yip he was off, racing towards where the Alpha had indicated. After all...food.
