Harry's Relation to Godric Gryffindor

I think that there's a reason as to why Godric's Hollow is called Godric's Hollow. I also believe there is a link to Harry from Gryffindor. Another reason why he was able to pull the sword out of the Sorting Hat in COS.
Any comments?

Mostly - Accept I dont recall Harry being Related to Godric ....

He was related to the Peverells.

Same thing because the Peverells were descendents of Godric Gryffindor.
