I may be absent for a bit..my oldest cat is at the vet and I have some tough decisions to make....things are not good.
Just wanted to let you all know incase I disapear this week for a bit sad

Oh, I hope it works out.
I had to put a cat down last year and it was horribly sad.

That's hard to do. I am sorry for your loss. I just put down Zeda this year, a cat everyone and their uncle loved. He was just going to get way too sick though. I think it's hard to hold someones life in our hands.

Yes, it is very hard. I've had him for almost 18 years...and to have to make the decision to put him down was the worst. He was living at the vets off a bag (iv) for the last week and wouldn't eat. They did an ultrasound and found masses in his stomach..likely cancer.
It was the hardest thing I've had to do....I miss him dearly. An awesome cat!

Again, thank you all. It was for the best and I guess it was his time.
It will take awhile to get used to not seeing him in his favorite spots...it's the same as losing a family member. I guess you could say we grew up together even, got him for my 13 or 14th (can't do the math right now) birthday.
My other cat seems kinda down, so we are giving him and our dog some extra TLC and it is helping us as well to focus on them.
I knew this time had to come soon, but I don't like the way it happened.

Here is one, he used to love sleeping on his back. He was big too, 20lbs when he was healthy. heart  heart
