Faith, why must you ask these questions! I think Buffy and Spike had more of a connection, although she didn't "love" him. I don't know...

OK, see this is why I ask these questions. Because, it's interesting!!
See the thing is Angel never chose to have a soul. It was forced on him and he had to live with it.
Spike chose to have a soul, he wanted it.
And I think Buffy really did love Spike, she just couldn't admit it to herself.

You know, I absolutely loved angel, but when spike and buffy got together, I really liked spike too. In the final episode, when they tried to bring Angel back into Buffy's life, it didn't feel right, it felt like the connection was lost. I think, as hard as it is, I would go with Spike.

i absolutely love them both to pieces, but there's just something about angel that i think gives him that little "one up" in my heart. i think it was his rendition of "Mandy" that did it for me. *sigh* haha

Spike...and my reasoning is
1. in the original movie, her boyfriend's name was Pike
2. again in the original movie, her boyfriend wore a leather jacket and drove a motorcycle and slicked his hair back
3. all they did was put an "S" in front of the name and make him blonde and british!
4. Angel barely had any character in the show. I mean, he was good to look at but, that's about it.
5. Spike counted the days that she was gone.
6. Spike is just way more awesome than Angel
7. Spuffy vs. Bangel.......Spuffy sounds better

Add my vote to the Spike camp. He is just a more interesting person. Angel was just to broodie for me. I found Angel much more interesting when he was Angelus. Spike would always know how to show a girl a good time.
