Setting
The town this takes place in a very rural town, well spaced-out houses with a small marketplace in the very heart of it. A cemetery lies on the very bounds of the town, having a large 100-foot angel statue with a bible laid flat on its palms. It's very close to the full moon.

Broad shoulders made connection with the trunk of the tree, a guttural grunt coming from the large beast. This beast was a one hundred seventy-three year old lycan. Born on July 6 of 1834 she had been married at a young age, though as to whom, she had not known the man. She had only been with him for a day before she was bitten and joined a clan.
The large, muscled beast lowered itself onto all fours, staring down at the ground, panting. Eyes were yellow with the blood lust, the beast couldn't wait for the hunt to begin. Every month on the full moon the lycans would have their fun and let all hell break loose, the humans in the town all knew that there were lycans among them, but they didn't know which person was one, they left in secret and returned as soon as any suspicion was raised on who was really a lycan.
Fur slid off skin as the change started to wear off, large teeth becoming normal teeth except for the canines which stayed noticably large and sharp. Dark fur turned to dark, curly hair, messy from just having changed back. Yellow eyes turned to a gentle blue, skin as pale as a vampire's.
A shaky hand brushed through her hair, her eyes closing for a moment as she leaned her almost-bare body against a tree, turning her attention to the robe she had brought with her for exactly this reason. She slipped the garment on over herself, shivering slightly. It was cold outside, being in mid-October now, her eyes closed, her back pressed against the bark.
She shook the hair off herself like a dog would, her bare feet crunching on the dead leaves as she started her way home. She was now thankful for moving to the house next to the woods, it would provide her quick and safe travel to and from the woods. She slid from the cover of the trees, running to her back porch with speed a human shouldn't have, she nearly slammed the door, shuddering whatever fur she had left off of her.
Ten minutes later she was clean from a shower and fresh clothes, her hair brushed out now. A black Atreyu shirt clung to her top, while jean shorts covered her. Tonight would be a special night of sorts to her, she would be getting new lycans to come into her house, which was a spacy two-story house with plenty of extra rooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room dominating most of the bottom floor.
Payne brushed a hand through her hair. Now was the time to wait. They would surely be here soon. Hopefully.

From a fair distance away, Aidan watched the lycan run to her house with some disgust. She wouldn't have noticed him unless she'd truly been searching for a figure in that exact spot, or if he'd made some sudden movement. But he wasn't an idiot. She was strong enough to prove dangerous to him, even as old as he was.
He always hated to admit that. To admit that those disgusting, primitive creatures could be such a danger to something as sophisticated and perfect as a vampire, even a fledgling. But it was the truth, and it was time to face facts. He knew they were planning their monthly adventure into town soon. Though he had no love for humans, the way the lycans relished their little fun only furthered his disgust of the species. There were finer ways to kill a human.
He shook his dark red hair back, the small red ear ring jingling softly as he did so. It was nearly time to get back, he knew. His coven would be wondering where he'd gone, why he hadn't returned. It really could be a pain to be so old. They all looked up to him for guidance, when he really could care less.
He watched the lycan's house for a few more minutes, his cold green eyes trying to see into the windows. She couldn't be seen, though, so he stood up straight from where he'd been leaning in the shadow of a large and rather old tree on the edge of the village. He turned on his heel and headed away, holding his arrogant head high as he glanced into the small buildings huddled together as if for protection.
He nearly laughed at the thought of these humans being protected. They were in danger every second they breathed. Aidan, on the other hand, had little to fear. There were only a few older than him of his own kind, and fewer still of the lycanthropes. As he strolled along, his thoughts turned back to the attack he knew the lycans were so looking forward to.
They would have to hide, as they always did. It was one thing to face a lycan normally, and a completely different thing to face one on a full moon. He refused to risk it. His thoughts darkened at the thought of having to admit fear and he felt his fangs lengthen.
'Control yourself.' A voice seemed to say in his head, and he smiled slightly, suddenly looking rebellious. Perhaps this full moon would be a little different from the rest after all.

In the foggy graveyard around the town,a lycan called Fang walked past many graves. He stopped walking as the town came in sight. He examined the 100-foot angel statue with a bible, then the moon above it.His gaze sharpened and he then looked away and continued toward the town.
When he neared the town,he started to change into his human form. His black fur began to change into skin and his teeth and claws began to shorten and became dull. His eyes changed from a blood red color into a forest green color. He walked into the town, unoticed, and walked his way to his home.
As he was in front of his house, twigs snapped beneath his feet.He went up the creaky stairs leading to the front door and opened the door then went up to his room.In his room, near his bed, there was a chair covered in velvet.Fang sat down on the chair and layed his head back.
The branches of a tree next to Fang's room brushed against his window as a bird landed on the window sill.It looked straight through the window and its sight narrowed at Fang.It looked away and flew into the nearby tree.

Payne could smell her fellow 'wolves, though amongst the scents of her house and those of the woods outside, something was off. She sniffed around her home for a while before coming to the conclusion it wasn't inside, stepping out her back door she turned her attention to the woods she had just left. Nostrils flared as she took in a deep breath of the lovely forest, her eyes scanning for something, anything out of place.
The scent was stronger. It smelled so sweet... So wonderfully sweet. Sickeningly sweet. For a moment her eyes flashed with something wolven, though it disappeared as soon as it came. Her nose twitched, the wind blew the scent to her again. She did as any animal would do, she followed her nose, when she knew she was close enough that he could hear her, she spoke out to him.
"I know you're there so come out of hiding. I'll find you anyways." Her voice rang out clear into the night, not loud enough for anyone but them to hear. She was sure now this scent was familiar, it was something she had smelled before. She couldn't place it for the moment, but she knew that it would come to her soon.

Fang got up as he heard something coming from ouside. He walked over to his window and opened it.He surveyed the area and could smell a lycan nearby.
He listened for any sounds of movement and looked for any moving objects. He stopped looking and pulled a chair near the window. He waited for any other sounds.

Aidan was still walking through town, his footsteps completely silent, but slowly his senses began to pick on something different. He glanced around, already moving towards the shadows of a nearby house, but couldn't see any movement.
He could deffinately smell something now, though. It was vaguely familiar, but his memory wasn't jarred. Slowly, he sank into the shadows, staying perfectly still. He could easily have been a statue. Watching now for anything, his sharp green eyes piercing the darkness, Aidan also tried to listen for the sound of approaching footsteps. So far, though, his nose was the only thing catching something unusual.
So he waited, wondering why this scent was so naggingly familiar. The coven would just have to wait. He wanted to see what this was.

Payne stepped towards a fellow lycan's house, shimmying up the tree to his window, where she caught sight of him there, staring back at her. "Fang. Come. I smell something different on the air." She whispered to him, hopping from the tree now, she sniffed at the air once more, the breeze had stopped carrying that sickly sweet scent to her but she could still faintly catch it.
She slipped into the shadows of another house, the scent was near, she could tell, and she didn't like how it was, it was far too sweet. It was too... Perfect. She took in a deep breath, it was definitely near. Payne slipped through the shadows towards the source of it, seeing a pale-white figure in the shadows, bright green eyes almost mesmerizingly beautiful. "Who are you?" She asked, staring at him.

He had just managed to catch sight of her when she saw him. It was a little disturbing, to find his senses so weak at the moment that he didn't see her first. He shrugged it off, though, and stepped out of the shadows, not making a sound even though his polished black boots were stepping on twigs. They just didn't snap. His gaze was like ice, though, as he looked at Payne. "I am Aidan Cahal." His eyes flickered in the pale light, and he stood up straighter to make himself appear taller. A slight breeze stirred his straight red hair back, showing that his face, like his eyes, seemed almost too beautiful to be real.
"And by what name do they call you?" He asked of her, more out of an inborn politeness then any real caring. He had not planned on meeting anyone else tonight. Hopefully his previous curiosity wouldn't be a mistake.

Fang jumped out of his window and sniffed the air.He followed Paine and said "I smelt something as well."He noticed someone was there, with bright green eyes.
Fang stared at his piercing eyes and narrowed his at him.Succh strange eyes...Fang thought to himself.
