So my husband is deployed right now. Crazy. The first two weeks after he left my son would ask for daddy. I mean my son is only a year old so it was amazing to me that he missed his dad so much. He would only cry for him during their special times though. LIke my hubby was always the diaper changer and so the first time i changed ben after he had left ben said "dada?" and i just started crying. IT was so sad and yet so cute. They really had so much fun together! So i'm trying to think of ways for us to have fun as a family when he gets back for his R&R in september. Things that he and ben can do and have memories of. Any suggestions? For like a 15 month old boy and his 21 going on 5 dad?

Here is just some fun things we have done or do with our girls (who are almost two).
Zoo
Lake or pool- It might be too cool to do this when he gets back depending on where you live
Have a "Welcome home" party for your hubby with some of his friends and invite the little ones to come along to play with your son
Camp out in your backyard
Have a family cookout

Oh Geez!! Now that brought a tear to my eye... Couple of things you can do are go to a park and sit in the sandbox and build castles.. play on the swings.. and don't forget to take lots and lots of pictures... Going to the Zoo is always fun especially when they have a petting zoo... you can always get a good picture in the petting zoo!! Walks in the neighborhood, But the most important is one on one time with dad whether it is watching a show on tv or just relaxing on the couch with a good book!!

aww that was very sad, brought tears to my eye. I hope you have fun in what every you guys do when he comes home. I wish him well.
things to do 1. lunch at the park, bring a ball and they can roll it back and forth. 2.reading to him his fav book its always a good one and they seem to always remember that book. 3.finger paints if you don't mind the mess. blaugh 4. they have those bikes were the lil one sits on it and it has a handle were its pushed like a stroller. kinda make the lil guy feel big. and dad gets to spend time with him. how about just sitting and playing with toys. my son always loved that one. he loved playing with the really big leg gos. I don't remember what they are called any more.
