Well, actually, I should say "let go". But ******** that noise! I like the sound of, "I GOT FIRED," better.
After I finished my closing duties the owner at Carmine's told me to sit down with him and that we had to talk. I knew he was going to say something about how I'm not open enough, or talkative with the customers. Other than not being open with the customers, he's said several times that I do good work and that I'm very productive and all that s**t.
I don't remember what I said to him when I first started, but it made him turn around, lean into me and say, "Elsbeth, when the day comes and you have to quit... I'm going to fire you." Lawl. He's fired me every week since. I'm so freakin' happy that this time he was serious.
