the FIRST first thing that got me into the sixties was watching Adaption back in 2005 (i think) and i heard "Happy Together" by the Turtles. My friend had a cd of best of the sixties with that song on it so i borrowed it and burned it. Then I loved Elvis (cant remeber how i got into that though) and then I heard LOVE at grandmas (she also loves Elvis) and i decided to get some Beatles songs. I started out with only seventeen songs, can you believe it.. And i lasted on those 17 for about a month before i started getting more and more. I was so surprised at just how many Beatles songs I already knew and didnt even realise they sang them lol.
OMG that is a lot of writing burning_eyes

My first love was the idea of peace. Then hippies. Then music and Simon and Garfunkel. Then the Beatles...

Austin H.
I was completely infatuated with him, and soft enough to be molded by his influence. He called himself a hippie; instantly, I began a quest to find out just exactly what that was. Then - WHAM! I grew up. Who needs Austin? I had a more satisfying relationship with The Beatles than I ever had with him. I didn't have one with him, actually. But still.
And he looked freakishly like Bed Peace John Lennon. xp
After that, The Beatles led me gently by the hand into the sixties. Tehehehe.

Took my first hit of acid when I was 15, which was also the day I got my first 2 60s LPs. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced & Cream - Disraeli Gears
Never looked back since.
