ugh, sabre is making me sad at the moment, because I used to be really good, but over the summer I lost it, and now the coreographer is putting in a sabre solo, and were having try-out for it, and I think if I dont try-out no one will, and I didnt bring my sabre home from our last practice by accident, only my rifle, and so yeah. ugh. depressing. I still love my baby though. xD

acctually sadly I doubt it, I cant do drop spins for the life of me, and if you dont have the basics down you almost surely wont get the part : (

That's not ture!!! I stink at spins but made sabre and he only gave me a day to prepare!!! The others got a week. So don't fret.... fret who uses that word any more? Anywho you will do great!!!

I think you will do great aswell!!!! I mean I taught myself sabre and then I had to teach the rest of the guard when i became captian and I was SUPER nervouse because I didn't practice it enough over summer. BUT it didn't take me long to get back in the swing!!! Maybe go a little early so you can atleast have a little time to practice befor tryout

ywah about that sabre solo, I didnt get it , my capitan got it and she didnt tryout or anything, it was just "hey, your capitain so Im going to give you a huge long solo on equpment you hate! Isnt that wonderful!!!" xP

gaaah. sabre is my baby. the first weapon i learned to toss and my first solo, this marching season actually. i just turned my ankle the other night and almost couldn't march my show. thank god for ibuprofen. we ended up getting best guard. 3nodding
too bad i can't even do any run thrus this week because of it. its a full blown sprain and i aggravated it.

too bad i can't even do any run thrus this week because of it. its a full blown sprain and i aggravated it. lucky, I got a sprain, and I cant do run throughs or practice for a month, maybe more depending on how weak my ankle is after the initial month. : (

I wish I could do sabre. ;-; So badly.
My school only has a rifle line, and with 42 regular guard members, we can't afford much in the way of new equipment.
