The King has been killed and the land of Airam falls into perpetual darkness. The King's son has been corrupted by the darkness that led him to slaughter his own father. The only hope of salvation lies in the hands of the Knights of Airam, loyal to the King even in death. They are strongest when they fight together, but what happens when one of their strongest warriors begins to become corrupted by the same darkness?!

Bio: No one really knows what drove the prince to madness or to kill his father. But now nothing will stop him from achieving control over the land and releasing all the darkness and evil of the world. Darius is very interested in one of the Knights, Aurelia the Knight of the Moon. Aurelia was his first love and will stop at nothing to corrupt her soul and release her true powers. Darius is aware of Aurelia's true identity, which may tip the scales of good and evil.

Powers: Manipulation of light and shadows, the true extent of her powers are unknown.
Bio: Aurelia was taken in by the King and raised as royalty. Nobody knows her origins, or where she came from. Since an early age she was trained in deadly swordplay. She grew up with Darius, but even with their complicated history she wont forgive the horrible crime of killing the first man to ever show her any kindness, the King. Deep inside her lies and terrible power, being a warrior of the moon she also has the ability to manipulate darkness at dangerous amounts. This has caused her to be scorned by most, but she fights for the honor of Airam, and her King.

Powers: Manipulation of heat and fire.
Bio: Koen, the bravest of the Knights. Though brash and young, he was chosen to lead the other knights. Since he first began to train under the same master as Aurelia, he fell in love with her. Needless to say he was jealous of her close relationship with Darius, but his love for her never faltered. After the violent death of his King, he swore to avenge him. Koen worries for Aurelia, he knows the pain she feels from Darius betrayal. Though known as the bravest of Knights, he still hasn't confessed his feelings for his fellow Knight. But one thing is for certain, he will not give her up to Darius or any other man.

Powers: Can freeze water into ice, then manipulate it; Can see people's true intentions by the aura they have; Is skilled in swordsmanship and stealth
Bio: Kana was always the shy girl in the background. But that never stopped her from learning everything she could from whomever would teach her. It took her a while to master her arts, and she still isn't fully in control of them, but she is the only one to have them. She promised that she would faithfully serve the king. Now that he has been murdered, she will honor his memory by discovering the cause behind his demise.

Aurelia sat at the summit of a dark hill, she stared off at the night sky. The moon was hidden as if it was also in mourning. The pain was too great, she lost her "father" and all because of Darius. She couldn't understand why this happened. A soft tear glided down her pale cheeks. Aurelia clenched her fist as she cried in silence, she would no longer show anyone love or caring, she always got hurt in the end. No one would ever see her cry for him again, ever.
"Darius you fool! What have you done"?!" she cried.
Her long silver hair fell on her face, hiding her pain stricken eyes. Aurelia arm's circled around her knees as she buried her face in them, her body trembling in pain. Darius had betrayed his kingdom, people, the Knights, and most impostantly her heart. She was confused and hurt, Aurelia couldn't understand what had happened to Darius. He had always been so loving and kind to her, how could that same person become a cold-blooded killer and worst, the Leader of the Soldiers of Darkness, Death.

Koen lied strewn across his bed haphazardly, contemplating his next plan of action pessimistically. Things would be better if the king were alive, but the facts were what they were. Darius was taken over by darkness and murdered his father. The only silver lining he found in all of this was that Aurelia no longer sought or tolerated the prince.
The handsome knight changed position atop his comfortable bedding and continued with his moot wondering. He couldn't quite decide whether or not now would be an appropriate time to try consoling his one love. Is it too soon, or is it the chance I've been waiting for? Koen knew if he were come on too hard, or too softly, he would reach an utterly undesirable conclusion: either despised just as much as Darius for trying to win her over at this point of vulnerability, or remain an eternal friend and nothing more in her eyes.
Koen stayed on his bed, thinking to himself until a lowly squire knocked on his door, announcing that supper was to commence momentarily. Darius' rival begrudgingly rose and stalked to the lavishly decorated hall, curently festooned for the evening repast. As he closed in on it, he looked out the towering, dusk-filled windows on his left, still uncertain of what to do about Aurelia. Koen silently wondered what she herself was doing this very moment. He entered the room with dignity and a smile, befitting of his position, though he was filled with bemusement and gloom inside.

Kana sat in her windowsill, her arms around her knees. She sighed and rested her head on her knees. Poor Aurelia. I hope she comes back home soon. It's getting cold outside. she mused to herself, watching the dark form on the hilltop.
A knock sounded against the door. Kana silently got up and glided across the floor to answer the call. It was a messenger sent to fetch her for supper. Kana kindly sent him away woth orders to bring up a plate for her after the meal was over. She wasn't feeling well and didn't want to seem more unpleasant at the table. She hoped that Koen wouldn't mind.
She closed her door, catching a glimpse of Koen walking in the background before she returned to her isolation. Never before had she felt such a sadness. She knew it wasn't appropriate for a knight, but she couldn't shake the feeling.
