I thought I'd start a thread for educating each other about different strains -- what kind of high, taste, color, after-effect, et cetera.

I'll start.

I don't know what all strains I've tried, but I know the name of two:

- Trainwreck
Big name. You all are probably familiar with it. Hits hard, especially seems to affect your sense of linear time. At least that was my experience. It's a great strain to hot-box with. It seems to burn pretty clean and isn't that chokey.

- Grandaddy
I've been smoking this a lot recently. It hits relatively fast (within a minute or two of the first hit usually) and is kind of chokey. I seem to laugh a lot more on this than on Trainwreck, and my munchies are way hard on Grandaddy also. The kicker is that it seems to take a lot out of me. Every day this week I felt super burned out after coming down and I've had major trouble getting out of bed after a night with Grandaddy.

Just so i don't have to explain myself,
Body; is a body high as in numbness, extreme awareness, tingles, sluggishness, super relaxed, warmth and a really good feeling.
Mind: thinking, visuals, weird thoughts, time passing in fast/slow, heightened since (hearing taste (munches is 50/50) smell etc.), creativity, perception and concentration.
each my be individual or a combination of many and more.

love Trainwreck, i had more of a pepper taste, might just be the mountain buds, but still a quick choke followed by a nice smooth hit. 50/50

Afghani Goo, awesome stuff, fruit with strong gonga taste. 50% mind/ 50% body

Purple Haze, i have only smoked this a few times but a mellow taste that i cant quite explain, followed by a stupendous 80% body high.

White Widow, good stuff, about a average high varying on amount smoked, smoked way to much of this one, to many experiences to explain. good 65% mind high.

in addison to the chronic there is schwag, excellent spliff weed.

Just got a batch from our guy, new stuff he said is called Grapefruit.

I don't really know why it's called Grapefruit, doesn't have a taste that's anything less than green.

Chokey first few hits, mostly a body high. I don't find myself laughing as much as on Grandaddy and I'm not knocked on my a** like with the Wreck, but I definitely feel very weightless and tingly.

Is White Widow hard to get or is it indigenous to a certain region of the US or what? I don't hear people talking about it much on this coast. I hear a lot about Trainwreck, Purple Haze, and Blueberry.

EDIT: I'm on the West Coast. SoCal to be specific.

My strains...

NYC Diesel
Its a cloned strain of sour diesel. Nasty strong stuff. Harsh like Mexican s**t, but it hits like a brick to the brain case.

Mandala
Real pungent odor with a spicy taste. It goes right to your head. There isn't much of a body high because you don't care enough to remember that your body's there. Felt like a mild trip from the visuals. Lots of trails.

Juicy Fruit
Not sure of the strain, but it has a really sweet flavor, like Candibus and a gnarley body high. It's like a major adrenaline rush through you, but you're mellowed out, so it's a cool feeling.

Train Wreck.
I need not explain myself.

Real White Widow looks like pot with a layer of coke around it. It's THC crystals that grow on the bud. Thats why it's so strong. The crystals make it look like a ******** snow cone

Has anybody really ever experienced a 'flavored' weed? I'm not talking about a flavored-paper blunt, I'm talking about when people say, for instance, "strawberry chronic." Is it the flavor or color or what? Because all I've ever smoked tasted skunky or green.
