Plot

A small team from the SGC decide to go back to Abydos to see if there are any more gate addresses or Goa'uld artifacts stored here. However, the 4 people travel at the time of a solar flare and end up back on Abydos before the first 'Gate mission and being threatened by Ra himself.

When I say small team, I mean 4 people. If you don't get here on time, you won't be allowed to post here.

"I'm not late, am I JL?" Ran came in, in her uniform, golden hair down instead of in it's usual clip, and she carried a small backpack on her person, coming to a halt in front of her superior officer, panting.

JL had been standing, staring at the swirling blue 'gate, waiting for her team. This was gonna be fun, she guessed. She'd read all the reports on Abydos but never been there.. Secretley, she kidna wanted to see one of the big cow/camel things that Jackson had run into in the first mission. Now that would be worth seeing. Giant alien camel. Priceless. Space came into the 'gate room first and JL smiled at her. "Good to see you, Space." She replied to the civvie, looking back at the 'gate.

Ran was next. JL was glad another SG-1 member was coming. It gave it a bit of a more interesting feel though JL could see Ran and Space getting along like a house on fire as they would probably be able to understand eachother's ramblings of ancient writing and pots and things. "No, you're not." JL looked at Ran and raised an eyebrow. "Did you run or something?" She added, seeing the panting. However, almost straight away, Captain Casey came into the 'gate room and the General nodded to him. "Of course. Space still needs to learn to shoot straight, maybe you could give her a few pointers?"

Now everyone was here, she stepped forwards and turns to face the others. JL was wearing desert-camo at this moment though she was not wearing the jacket, just a black t-shirt. She had a zat strapped to one thight and a 9mm to the other as well as her P-90 round her neck. Hopefully nothing would go wrong. Standard, no frills mission this. Easy. "Okay, guys. We're going to Abydos to see if we can find another 'gate address cartouche. There must be more 'gates in this galaxy and we want to find 'em." She nodded. "Okay then guys, let's move out.. And get a tan." The General gave a jaunty wave to the control room before walking up the ramp and through the gate.

"this rifle weighs a TON...Goddammit.. "
he walked to the gate.. he turned to SFB who could hear her.. "yea teach Space to shoot.. should be easier learning Ancient" he laughed as he stepped through..

*cue wormhole Effect*

he emerged in the remains of the old pyramid. remembering how Anubis had blown the place to hell.. that was an interesting mission file..

"im surprised that this places still standing" he looked to Space..

"come're you.." he handed her the .45.. you might need this. Space looked at him blankly..

just point and pull the trigger. dont point it at me.. or JL... or Ran. he smiled at the colonel..
Space looked nervous..

"dont worry, it'll be fine girl " his irish accent coming out strong as he said it.

As JL emerged from the 'gate, the re-built pyramid was also one of the first things she noticed. "... Odd." She said simply, pulling her P-90 up into a firing line, almost instantley on guard by the appearance of a whopping great stone triangle. "I don't suppose there is any chance they could have...y'know... rebuilded it in the space of a few years?" She sounded doubtful as it was a bloody HUGE structure. The general moved forwards. "Space, stay with Ran, Cam or me, alright?" She said after a moment, looking at the anthropologist.

She nodded at the General, agreeing fully that to stay with at least one member of this team would be sensible. The size and integrity of the structure awed her immensely. Surely, as Ran had pointed out, this place should no longer be standing. The previously blank look that Captain Casey had received was purely a result of her thinking about other things. As he walked outside, she looked at JL and Ran. Pretty sure that walking off in pairs was a bad idea, she bit her lower lip; staying where she was, until the General or Colonel instructed her otherwise.
"The way these are built, they're so similar to ours. It's.. phenomenal."
She looked up, squinting to see to the top.

"Even if they would have been re-building it, don't you think the Tok'ra would have told us if they were moving materials not native to this world here? Besides, the Go'auld are supposed to be gone from this world, peace is supposed to be here. If this structure is still intact, that makes it seem otherwise, and we should be further on guard." Then she noticed the writings on the walls. "But judging by this, there's no recent entries at all. If it were rebuilt, there would surely be something, ANYTHING here telling of recent history if they had re-conquered the planet." She knew she didn't make much sense, but that was the way it was playing out in her head. "I don't like this, Jupiter."

Dan looked at the walls... reading some of the text...

"the portal to the other world was sealed for all time by the one True God RA...!"

Dan took steps back in shock. RA.. but Jack killed him, he looked at Space..
"RA...JL.. its talking about RA.. last time i was here. the writings were about how Jack and Daniel freed them.. " Dan was starting to freak out..
