Deathly Hollows
( Harry Potter #7)

This thread is to discuss the 7th book, all Harry Potter books & the 5 movies.
JK Rowlings said there would only be seven HP books. She might do a dictionary or reference book, but seven is all the books we're going to get. She said we'd have all the backstory we would need. I don't think she should go beyond her original planned seven because the storyline probably would get muddled.

Two of the regular characters which could mean big danger for the not so regular characters as well.
People that could be toasted and crispy:
1. SNAPE
2. LUCIUS MALFOY
3. Bellatrix.
4. Voldemort
5. Pretty much all the other Death Eaters

How hard was it to pick the actors to play the characters in the movie?
I didn't pick them, so easy for me! But I think they are wonderful.

I don't think people need help understanding the books. I hope the film will be really good and not disappoint the fans. Personally, I can't wait to watch Quidditch.

How were you involved in making the Harry Potter films and did Hogwarts look like you had imagined it?
Hogwarts looks just as I imagined it. It was the most bizarre experience when I walked onto the set of the Great Hall; it really was like walking into my own brain.
Do you think that the films reflect well on the books?
I think they're pretty faithful to the books. Hogwarts looks just as I imagined it; I had a lot of input on how the various locations look.
Were you consulted at all when the actors were chosen for the movie?
Yes, Chris Columbus, who was the director of the first film, asked me if there was anybody I thought would be good and I said 'RobbieColtraneForHagrid' in one breath.
Do you think a film no longer than the first two films can do justice to a book as long and complex as Goblet of Fire?
I think that they will have to simplify the plot somewhat. Steve Kloves, the scriptwriter, is really good and if anyone can do the essence of the book justice, he can.
Would you like to see the same actors portray the trio in all 7 movies?
Yes, I would. I really like all three of them.
