All Eyes Are on You, My Dear. The Smith family isn't just some ordinary family. No, they are well-known in the town and surrounding area for many reason. Mostly for their money, being the richest in the town, and one of few in the state. Also for the extravagant parties they hold. There is also rumors about their Irish ancestry, descendants of a Lord, or something of that sorts, but that has yet to be proven.
They are constantly on stage, looked up to, admired, the center of social attention. With so many eyes on them, every moved is watched. Anything they do is likely to run through the grapevine, spreading rapidly through the town, everyone knowing about it in less than a day. They have to be careful to do nothing that will embarrass themselves, or disgrace the Smith family name.
But that's hard to do with hormone raging teenagers and rowdy children mucking about. Let alone a husband who is secretly having an affair. And a mother who has a drinking problem. Seems the offspring is the least of the problems after all.

Rules of Society.
Uno; What I say, goes. No ifs, ands, or butts about it. Don't argue with me.
Dos; This is literate. No less. But more is very welcomed. In fact, advanceness is adored. And by literate, I don't mean able to read. No, that's not enough to cut it. You must be able to spell, use correct grammar, punctuation, the works. I know we all mistakes, but that's what dictionaries and word processors are for.
tTres; Posts will be in size nine. I prefer if just the dialog was colored, but if you want your whole post colored, go right ahead. Use the post color assigned to your character. I do, however, require dialog to be bolded and thoughts italicized. I expect two paragraphs for each post, no less than four sentences a paragraph.
Quatro; Profile skeletons will not be changed. Fill every section completely. For pictures, they will be real only. No anime, avatars, or celebrities. Main picture should have NO watermarks on it, but the links are ok. Make characters unique. Remember, this is a family that is very influential to the community. They're not going to have a bunch of emo children...

The Family
The over bearing grandmother (70)- Open!
The Simth family is under her constant watch, them living with her. She rules the household, like a Queen sitting on her throne. Everything must past through her, everything must be done her way, by her rules. And there's plenty of those. Break them, and you will be punished. There's no choice about it. It's her house, and she deals out money from the Reed fortune, in little sums that leaves them wanting more. But they are afraid to beg for it. It's a wondering all these secrets under her roof haven't been found out, especially when she has her little maid snooping everywhere.
Royal Blue.
The cheating father (47)- Open!
Age is catching up on this forty-seven-year-old father of eight, but he has yet to slow down. Still looking to be in his mid thirties, it's no wonder that he has gone chasing after younger woman, now that his wife is gray headed and saggy, half the time drunk with no interest in sex. His personality has changed, seeming to be more cheerful when he comes home, the rare times he does, since he goes on plenty of "business trips." The mother is oblivious to anything beyond her liquor bottle, but the children have a hunch to their father's true going ons.
Teal.
The drunk mother (45)- Open!
One a prim and proper lady, who took pride in her house and the elegant parties she once held, she now is a worn down woman who rarely leaves the house she so proudly loved to show off. No one really knows why she took to the bottle, no one but maybe the father. Perhaps it was after getting drunk too many times at her parties, and finding how much pain is numbed while in that state of mind. She is also on various of prescription medications, and it's only to have them refilled that she leaves the house, sometimes sober and sometimes not.
Orchid.
The runaway daughter (22)- Taken By ImmortallyMortal
She has a good life. People would give anything to live in the family that she lives...well, the family that they think she lives in. She does not think the same way as those people. These strangers, the media, the neighbors, the people at school; they all have no idea what happens behind the walls of the Smith household. She has had to witness everything that has happened and she cannot take it anymore. Now, she just wants to get out and be free. She could not take the pressures of having to go to college. She could not take the pressures of making the public see that the Reeds family was beautiful. She could not live that lie any longer, so she gave up. She left, running away from her home and leaving her family behind. Finding that she couldn't survive without them, she's now begging the family's forgiveness so she can return.
Chocolate.
The homosexual son (19)- Taken By Knight!
He's always known he was different, in the sense of his sexuality. Never has he felt feelings for the opposite gender, but for those sharing the same anatomy as he. Growing up, he was taught that such behavior was deemed wrong and sinful, so he kept his secret to himself, telling no one, afraid of the consequences; the risk of being kicked out of the house and shunned by the Smith family. For now, he trust no one with his secret, not even his siblings. And he's unable to date, for fear that once it's known what he is, it will be the end of him. Online dating is his only chance for romance.
Olive.
The hopeless romantic daughter (16)- Reserved By DANi--HAPPiNESS!
Part of the Smith family tradition is arranged marriages, and with her coming to age in a couple years, future husbands have already been sought for her. She wants nothing of it, dreaming of romance and marrying someone she loves, rather than someone she is forced to be with. There's a special person in her life currently, secretly of course, and she would love to be his forever. And in true Romeo and Juliet fashion, they have planned different ways they could make it work. The only problem is she's not brave enough to put these plans into action.
Light Salmon.
The sexually active daughter (16)- Open!
Since the day she hit puberty, this girl has been interested in not only her own body but those of the opposite sex. Quickly she learned, knowing more about sex than most teenagers her age. Mature in that sense, she became sexually active at thirteen, loosing herself to a man who legally could have gotten into trouble. For awhile, she even sold herself for some quick cash, not caring about the risks; the diseases, being kidnapped or worse, or even becoming pregnant. Unfortunately, the latter did happen, when she was only fifteen, but the family took care of the situation.
Deep Pink.
The drug addict son (13)- Open!
He wasn't a bad guy. He did his work and he was nice to his friends, but one afternoon with some acquaintances He heard the television specials on drugs, he heard the adults at school speaking of how bad it was, and he even heard some of his friends saying how much it could damage your life. Did any of those things ever stop him from taking that one puff of smoke that one afternoon? No. They did not affect his judgment at all, and he is now hooked on every drug. You name it, he has done it. If it is classified as a drug, he could tell you how it tastes and how high it has gotten him in the past. Now, he is no longer that good guy. He no longer doing his work. He is not even nice to his friends. If he could get his drugs...he would be happy.
Tomato.
The anorexic daughter (10)- Open!
Younger and younger, girls are becoming more self conscious of their appearance, in this body obsessed world. Since the age of six, she has had an eating disorder, yet to be diagnosed, hiding it from her family. Not only is she underweight, but the malnutrition has stunted her growth, leaving her the smallest child in her grade, and she's still not happy with her image. Suppose it doesn't help when you have a grandmother always criticizing your appearance, making it seem like you're fat and need to lose more weight, when in fact should be the total opposite. What happen to grandmothers who spoiled and compliment their grandchildren?
Medium Violet Red.
The hyperactive son (7)- Open!
Who says chocolate is not good for children? In his eyes, it is the best thing in the world. He couldn't get enough of his sugary snacks, but what happens when he realizes that his sugary friends are causing him to become so hyperactive that he cannot control it at times? How does he feel when he is restricted from having those delicious friends that he's had by his side for the longest of time? Even though he knows that he cannot have his sugary treats, he tries his best to get any piece of candy, any lick of a lollipop, or any morsel of sugar that he could find. Can he overcome his love of sugar, or will he have to try and hide his hyper action. That's wasier said than done for a boy so young.
Forest Green.
The bipolar daughter (4)- Open!
From an early age, she hasn't been quite right. In infancy she was extremely difficult to settle and slept erratically. She was extraordinarily clingy and the simplest things would set her off in an uncontrollable, seizure-like tantrums or rages, even being told "no." Finally, at the age of three, she was diagnosed with bipolar, or manic-depression. Medication has helped with most of the symptoms, but she still has continuous mood disturbances that's a mix of mania and depression. This happens in cycles, with some periods of being well and free of such mood swings. Her pediatrician is still trying out medications on her to find the one that is the most efficient.
Medium Purple.
The b*****d son (11 months)- Open!
Infants generally bring happiness and joy to the family it enters. That is when they're not a mistake. A mistake that is regretted by the whole family, the birth cursed as shameful. His mother in truth is the sixteen-year-old daughter, who became pregnant at fifteen. In an attempt to save the family name, she was told to hide her pregnancy as best as possible, keeping to the house the past few months, while her mother wore a fake bump. In the end, the community thinks that he belongs to the drunken mother, instead of the daughter, the latter forced to call her own baby her brother.

I've been cursed for [ 22 ] years.
Life is HeLL:
[ Addison is the eldest daughter. She was known as the high school beauty with a brain. She didn't care too much for her parents' style of life...in fact, hated it. She could easily pick up on the fact that her father was having an affair before the rest of the family. She was the first to realize the their mother's drinking was not the normal intact and was in excess. But worst of all...was Grandmother. The way she ruled over the family like a freaking dictator was never what Addison could picture as a decent 'ideal' for a family head figure.
So, eventually, Addison blew. She couldn't take it anymore...the parties, the dolling up for a crowd, the excessive drinking, the affairs, the dictatorship...so she took off. Addy was gone for around two years before she came to the realization that without her, the younger kids would have nothing to cling to. She needed her siblings as much as she hoped they needed her. She sat down with her, at the time, boyfriend and worked through it until finally deciding it would be for the better for her to return. After the break-up, which ended actually rather well, she left for home again. When she reached up to ring that doorbell...she knew that groveling at grandma's feet would be the best approach. She would have to beg to be back. But, that was a sacrifice to her dignity that she was willing to take for her siblings. ]

[ Addison is the intelectual of the family and seeing how its downfall was inevitable ran away along from the unrelenting pressure of the family. She now has to beg for her place back in the family for the sake of her younger siblings. Problems? Oh yeah...she has to hide two years of rebelion under her shirt and pray to any diety, entity, or higher power above or below that Grandma doesn't see it...(Tattoo). ]

Life is HeLL:
[ Dominic is very lonely when it comes to friends, at least... Boyfriends. At school, most of his friends are girls, and try to set him up on various dates, but he always declines. When not at school, Dom is found reading, or writing. He's a quiet boy that keeps to himself at home, unless he is needed by a younger sibling. Knowing his parents are off with their own problems, Dom does what he can around the home.
Often times Dom sticks to art to be more himself. Rather than sketch or draw, he composes piano music on the family's piano. Despite how he feels on the inside, Dominic likes to remain fairly optimistic for hopes that just maybe their family will get better. Always looking on the bright side of things, he prefers to at least be somewhat cheerful. Being different from his family in terms of sexuality, Dom tries to act as normal as possible.
By trying to act normal, he has a friend from college play as his girlfriend around his family. Although he would prefer not to lie, he can sense that their whole family is built up of lies. Wanting to eventually date real people, rather than just over the internet, Dom hopes that one day he can still call himself a Smith and come out of the closet. Taking into account the fact that he can't tell anyone, Dom manages to hide his online dating information from his family, going under various surnames. ]
