The Final Harry Potter Book

As you may have noticed the other Harry Potter Forum forbid mentioning any of the happenings in the 7th book as to not spoil it. However, for those that want to discuss it in full detail you've come to the right place. My only request is that there are no spoilers on the very first page of discussion because someone may click on this by accident. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone.


Here are a few things to discuss:

-Your favorite character
-Did you notice a slight change in her writing style? I thought there was one
-What you thought of the book overall
-how about the ending?
-what character will you miss the most

The writing style most definitely experiences a drastic change, but I rather liked it.
It is by far more mature and less formulaic than previous books. Not to mention it reflects the changes in the characters. I know I definitely matured/changed a lot between sixteen and seventeen.

Overall, I'm not sure what I thought of the book. I want to like it, and it definitely closed off well, but I have a difficulty with the fact that it's all over. I definitely was not a fan of the epilogue, to be honest, but I supposed it sufficed in it's purpose.

-What you thought of the book overall- i've only read the first few chapters, so overall, its good!
-how about the ending? no idea, because of the whole only-read-the-first-few-chapters thing
-what character will you miss the most- Sirius.....sniffle

I loved the 7th book, It only
took a week for me to finish it biggrin

There was a slight change in her writing
but I don't know why :[

I think she was slightly changing her style all along. I think she originally intended the series for children but realized that the plot was appealing to an older crowd. Her style change was just more noticeable now because this time the change was slightly more drastic. I read through it in one night, but had to read part of it again because I couldn't believe what happened to Lupin and Tonks.
