Name: Prithvi Kubri
Age: 23
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 120lb
Appearance: Long-limbed and lanky; graceful now, but the sort of length of body that would have made her very awkward during puberty. She has the Kubri clan coloration--mahogany hair, gray eyes, pale skin--though owing to her mixed heritage she has many, many more freckles than would be ordinary. One notable feature about her face is the scar tissue that starts just a little above the jawbone on her right side, wrapping around the back of her neck and a little above the hairline--burn scarring, in fact, that hasn't healed completely. She is somewhat self-conscious about it, doing pretty much everything she can to minimize or otherwise direct attention away from it. (She may or may not wear masks or necklace/torques to conceal it; character is still developing.)

Her hair is quite long (near the small of her back) and typically kept plaited into a single braid that's wound into a bun while she's working outside of ceremonial purposes; during a ceremony, she lets it free with two single small braids going from either temple to be gathered in the back. She has jewelry appropriate to a priestess of medium or a little greater ability; while she excels at her specialization and can be very inventive, her refusal to work on humans except in the most dire of circumstances means her opportunities for advancement are not that great.

Personality: First and foremost, Prithvi is a misanthrope and a xenophobe. When it comes to members of the human race outside of the Kubri clan, she couldn't care less about them--and would often rather they'd hurry up and die already.

Role: Owing to her disenchantment with the human race as a whole, Prithvi is one of those Kubri who is still passionately dedicated to the techniques and research of the clan--but flatly uninterested with fusing humans with animals. She derives a certain amount of sadistic enjoyment from seeing the human subjects of Kubri experimentation suffer during their vivisection and afterwards, but sees the final products of the fusion as being as spoiled and worthless as humans are. Her hopes lie with the second or third generation children of these parents--those who are completely adapted to their neo-human forms, who grow up without the preconceptions that their once-human parents did.

Until such a time, though, she wishes to have as little interaction with humans outside the clan as possible. She concerns herself instead with experimentation on animals. While other Kubri may make the centaurs, fauns, and satyrs of myth, Prithvi concerns herself with the gryphons and chimerae. Her special interest is in combining the abilities of disparate animals--especially predators--to create hybrid creatures with the abilities of both. The resulting monsters--for that is what many of them are--she keeps in waiting, and dotes upon, with the later intention of unleashing them upon the world in the same moment that neo-humans take their place as top of the food chain.

She's also responsible for maintaining a greenhouse on the island, for growing food and--other items of plant origin (opium, anyone?). Many of the plants are just as fantastical as her animal creations, as she has a penchant for experimenting with grafting and hybridization above and beyond the "basic" Kubri techniques.
