- A character's importance is judged by the weirdness of their appearance or name.
- In shonen anime, all women will have B-cups or above. If one does not, she is either a toddler or an important character.
- EVERYBODY in Japan has enough money to head to the hot springs at least once, even if the country is overrun by giant robots.
- If you are in a tournment, and your guy loses, don't worry about him. He'll be up and commenting next episode with no wounds at all.
- If said teammate ISN'T up, however, you should immediately assume that he is dying.
- Eat all you want; You'll never get fat, at least not permanently.
- It doesn't matter if you are shy--If you are female, you will most likely be seen naked or in a short skirt at least once.
- If you are female, and you can fight, expect to have your clothes ripped off everytime you do. (Unless it's shoujo)
- Shrine miko always have awesome powers.
- Don't worry about a language barrier--everyone has already learned yours beforehand.
- If they have not, someone in your group will know the language and translate.

- If the main character has a family, there's usually one crazy/mysterious member. If they don't, their family usually shows up (or is brought up) later.
- If a boy and girl are standing under sakura, it's a sure sign that they are in love.
- No matter how serious a character/situation is, something humorous will always arise.
- No matter how someone dies, someone else is going to blame themselves.
- The bad guys treat their henchmen like crap, yet said henchmen are unquestionably loyal. If there's one that (s)he doesn't, that person will probably die, making the bad guy insane for revenge.
- There will always be SOMEONE--usually the main character--who can make friends with anyone, thereby changing their ways.
- If there's someone who keeps one eye covered with hair or otherwise, they always have something weird going on with said eye.
- If you are fighting in a tournment, and your main insanely powerful rival/enemy is competing, you will always face him (and his team, if it's that kind of tournment) in the very last round. You will then beat him, and if it's a team tourny, your teammates will completely and unrealistically pwn his.
- If by some chance, you are losing said final round, your teammates will pull an unrealistic turnaround.
- People usually scream their attack names, which SHOULD give people an idea of what kind of attack it is, but usually doesn't.
