Nope. Not a theory. This is a spoiler from chapter 362:
The leader of the Atatsuki is NOT Uchiha Mandara. His name is Pein. See he's not in the Atatsuki I've been right all along xp

Actually, the new chapter has helped prove the theory I've said earlier. But instead of the leader(Pein) being the new "Mandara Uchiha", it turns out to be Tobi! eek

I still think Tobi is Uchiha Obito. Even though he said Uchiha Marada's name it only shows one of his eyes. So it could be either but I think it's Obito xD

Yes. Kakashi's right eye has a scar and sharingan to it. Back in the past, Obito lended in his right eye to Kakashi when he was dying. Back in the present, you see Tobi's mask with a hole for the left eye's view.
Why do you think Tobi's wearing a mask?
I don't think Tobie would really tell his real name, because he probably doesn't want his "nephew" Itachi to figure that he may be one of the mangekyo users.

Edit: When Tobi was saying "My power......Uchiha Mandara's powers...."
He could've refered to have the exact same power as Mandara.
It's all still a mystery.

And if you compare there two personalites they are similar...I guess...I wonder how he escaped...maybe he had a super strong hidden power back then and even though he appears weak he is really one of the strongest.
