"Hot sugar sticks! Fresh out of the pot!"

"You sir! A trinket for your lady? Only ten silver pieces!"

"A cloak woven by the people of the north! It would serve you well within the winter months!"

Cheery music and bright, festive colors decorated the caravan as the traders mingled with the townsfolk, showing and selling their wares for food, clothing, or pieces. Near the front of the caravan, a young maiden was seen selling a longsword forged of silver. After a few moments of bartering, the sword was exchanged for twenty pieces of gold. As the crowd walked away, Krystal turned her attention back to wagon, where a pair of bright eyes were peering at her from under several blankets.

Ashe continued to stare down at the jar, hidden protectively in her arms. Her eyes appear blind but the amount of hidden emotion and attention proves otherwise. The young woman froze as she felt the wind press against her carrying along with it the sounds of the town and passing caravans. Her heart caught in her throat as she tensed, prepared to run if the need was given.

As Krystal peeled away the blackets, the lump underneath became a small dragon-like creature. She smiled lovingly at the little guy as Abhay heaved a large yawn; she reached and stroked the smooth scales as he himself began licking his humans' hand happily.
"Hm....good afternoon, little one. I take it you had a good nap?"
Squeaking a "yes", the little hatchling bobbed his head before freezing. A familiar sensation was creeping upon him, and it was one he had daily. Turning to the elven-human, Abhay began to squeal unhappily while pawings at her hands. Krystal knew what he wanted right off the bat. Grabbing the hatchling, she carefully placed him out of sight before prodding him in the direction of the brush.
"Go and do your business, Abhay. I'll lock up this stuff and be with you in a second."
As she watched the cresent-shape of his tail disappear, a single thought crossed her mind: "It is that human mothers have to deal with when their children get hungry?"

Listening to the wind carefully and smelling the scents it drifted on its soft currents, Ashe decided she should check it out. The smell of food alone was enough to kill her. Getting to her feet carefully, the jar at her feet, she started to change into her wolf form. Her fair tanned skin slowly formed to black as fur grew into a nice shaggy coat. Her bones rearranged themselves, some lengthening and others shortening as she crouched down to the ground. When she finished forming, she panted tiredly, taking a few minutes to recover. She wasn't going to last long in this form with how exhausted she was.

Taking the jar gently in her jaws, she started trotting off toward the caravan and the scent of food. The jar threateningly started to slip with how much she was drooling, she imagined to herself.

Happy mumbles drifted the brush as the pink Ulaith stripped a berry bush of its' bounty. As he finished and licked the sweet juice from it's muzzle, the wind shifted direction; Abhay froze when the new scent brushed his sensitive nose. Abandoning the bush, the little creature shuffled foreward until a large, black shadow came into sight; within it's jaws, it clutched a small jar......
Squeaking softly, Abhay scampered backwards a few feet and grabbed a branch from the berry bush he had devoured earlier.

Ashe tilted her head to the side as she considered the small Ulaith in front of her, a growl starting up in her chest and throat. Clouded eyes, watched him with strange focus. Brushing her thick tail against the ground a little, she moved closer to him, one paw in front of the other and sharp, gleaming fangs showing.

Abhay stumbled backwards at the large creature; he had never seen such a beast and it scared him half to death. Squeaking around the branch in his mouth, Abhay tried to tell the wolf that he had food. Placing it down on the ground, he nudged it foreward towars the other being.

Watching the little ulaith with gleaming eyes, she ceased her growling. Berries did nothing for her but the thought was what counted in a wolf's mind. Coming forward, Ashe walked beside Abhay and nudged the branch back to him. Letting him have enough time to pick up the branch, the wolf nudged him back to the outside of the bushes, making her own way toward there at the smell of raw meat and other foods.

Understanding somewhat of what the she-wolf ment, the little Ulaith was about to pick up the branch when her destination caught his attention. Squealing a "STOP!", he raced foreward and stood in her way. He let loose a series of frantic chirps; the tiny creature, in his short time with humans, had seen what they would do to her! Panting, he finished his frantic rant and looked up with pleading eyes, begging her not to go towards the humans.

Ashe looked down at him simply, the small jar in her mouth held gently, considering his pleas. Looking back out of the bushes, her stomach tightened at the smell of food fit for a wolf. She could handle herself well and run if she had to do it, she at least didn't have the pride to stand her ground for something like this, but she sat down beside the ulaith anyway. Just to ease his frantic crying. Looking back down at the Ulaith, she considered him more carefully.

"Young one. What is with all the crying? I can perfectly well take care of myself if that is what you are worried about,"
she sent to him through a form of mind speech with emotions, simple words, and pictures.

Chirping in surprise at the mental message, Abhay was about to answer back when the rustling of bushes caught his attention. He gave a happy squeak when the bushes parted, revealing his human with a concerned look on her face.
"Abhay? Abhay, where are you, little guy? Ab-oh! There you are!" With a bright smile, she gently gathered the tiny creature in her arms; as she cuddled the hatchling, Krystal noticed the large she-wolf sitting nearby. "What? Abhay...who is your friend here?"
The sight of the forest being didn't alarm the trader; it was the sight of a small bottle (much like the one Abhay had been born from) settled near the wolf.

Ashe stared up at him, her jaws coming down on the bottle again. Watching him hesitantly, she got to her feet, starting to edge back further into the bushes with her dark coat starting to blend into the darkness.
