I cut last night for the first time since, like April or something. I got into a weird mood last night, and decided that I wanted to cut. This time, I didn't cut on my wrist, like I always used to do. I did it on my ankle area. I never thought that I would cut anywhere on my body other than my wrist. I'm kind of scared that I cut somewhere else. I can't explain why, but I think its because now I know that I can cut, and people won't be able to see it, unless i'm not wearing socks or something. I don't even feel bad that I cut after months of not. I feel, relieved.

Well, it makes you feel better, it's better for you than pill-popping, believe me, and your friends won't be able to see it. I don't see a problem. Ankles, though.. lots of big important veins around that area. Watch how deep you go. We don't want any accidents. sad

Yeah, I know not to go too deep, but sometimes I can't help it. I cut at the top of my thigh the other night, and I didnt realize how deep I was going.

Actually, it's pretty bad.... Frankly, why? Why cut? There is no point to it, other then to create more suffering from yourself. There is a fine line that defines what is healthy and what isn't. Guess what? Taking a blade and tearing open your skin is definitely not healthy.

Why inflict punishment on yourself? Why do you need it? That's one thing I never understood.... Of course, now I have a better idea. It's a fad more then it is a sympton of your illness. You do it because it's trendy, and for no other reason. Because you think that's the sort of thing people like you are supposed to do.

That's bullshit. I don't cut because its a trend but thanx. Watch what you say.

I refuse to watch what I say. In the past, self mutilation problems were not so big. Not until them good ol' after school special came around, and people actually found out about cutters.

And now there are even pro cutting groups. Jeez, what does this have all the signs of? Oh, yeah, a trend.

My dear, cutting is not a trend except for the kids looking for a thrill. No one here is doing that. Self-mutilation has always been around; it's simply the matter of how much publicity it gets. MsMaxie and the rest of us don't do stuff like this to get attention; if that were so, we wouldn't hide it from the rest of the world.
