A bright and luminous forest, covered with many captivating shadows in-between the trees. Much wildlife exists here. With age-worn trees on sacred ground, this forest is one that captivates even those who had ventured through it many times in the course of their lives. Many Elves have found a home here, as they also have a hidden gathering somewhere in these woods. Anyone looking for their home could easily wander to a lost journey.

Hikaru stood, silent as always, on the highup branch of a tree. His eyes were closed and his pure white hair covered his left eye, as his customary hair style. His wings were gently folded against his back, as he could not let his giant wingspan spread in the confined spaces high up in the forest.
He quietly listened. He didn't focus his hearing anywhere in particular --no-- He heard everything. Everything in the forest. Nothing was out of earshot.
Hikaru had been training his newly acquired element to enhance his hearing, but so far, he had only concentrated of learning how to amplify his hearing. He considering the ability essential to his archery, should he ever be temporarily blinded.
Enough
His eyelids shot open and revealed his golden eyes. Looking upward, he used a blast of wind to shoot him through the foliage and into the sky, where he released his dual set of wings. The top wings spanned 18 feet, while the bottom set spanned only 9. Hikaru had some of the largest wings ever granted to angels.
If only they would allow me to fly to heaven

Hikaru flew to a spring he had found earlier. The spring itself wasn't so special, but just beyond the spring's bubbling water was an Earth Portal.
Within ten minutes he had reached the spring. While in the air, he folding his wings, allowing himself to fall hundreds of feet, before cushioning his fall by blowing air down with his wind element. After landing, he dusted his clothes off and looked and the swirling light blue portal.
Without saying a word or wondering where the portal would take him, he walked into it, going god-knows-where.

On his way back from a personal venture to see the Angelic King, Mystic hastily made his way out of the kingdom and into a nearby forest. Such a place brought a feeling of solitude and harmony upon him, as nature was a place which the Elf King naturally grew attached to.
Mystic was not on his way back to his kingdom, no. It could hardly be claimed as his kingdom anymore. After departing of this world for ten years and returning a changed man, he had no place as the true leader of the Elves. His trusted second in command could more than handle such a duty. Much had happened since his time in the Sacred Realm.
The Elf King had been following a rogue group of Demons for weeks now. As a large pack, chances were that Mystic would fall by their hand. Their skill level was indeed high, and although he easily out powered them individually or in small groups, they were simply too strong to be taken out all at once. Mystic presumed that they were at one time elites of the Demonic kingdom, but rebelled and fled. Due to that, it only made them more dangerous.
His trip to the Angelic kingdom was more important, however. Therefore, he had to hurry after the gathering. As more time passed, the chance kept increasing that he would lose them altogether. Mystic had been picking them off throughout the weeks, decreasing their numbers steadily. So far, it remained a mystery to them as to why they kept losing members, yet they continued on. The Elf King was so close. He could not fail now.
Darting through the woods like a madman, Mystic watched as the trees turned into brown and green blurs. Luckily, the area was not busy at all, which made his trip only faster. Just as he neared the exit of the forest, Mystic noticed an Angel with rather large wings above him for a second.
Mystic had become familiar with most Angels in the Light Realm. His tie with their race was strong, but he had never seen this particular winged being flying high above the tree-tops. The Elf King debated whether or not he should request his assistance for a faster trip. Angels were indeed masters of the sky. Mystic's elemental energy was running low. If not for this lack of power, he would have simply encased himself in a swirling barrier of wind an flown to his destination. However, this was not practical in his state. Help was his only option.
"Sir!" He called to the sky as he halted for a moment. Hoping the Angel would notice his cry, Mystic stood still and awaited his response. However, the winged being continued on, and eventually out of sight. As Mystic followed him, he soon found that the Angel had left this realm for Earth. Knowing that the rogue Demon pack traveled in the Earth realm as well, Mystic pursued him, still debating whether or not he should. Within minutes, the Elf King had entered the portal. The unknown Angel was far ahead of him, but still within eye's range.

The same light that formed the portal enveloped the three. That same light almost made Nadroj vomit. It disbursed when Nadroj and his enemies exited the other side of it. That sick feeling turned to a strong pain in his head. The three had not been in light realm for a single second before the feeling overwhelmed the demon. It became to much for him in his current insect form. He fell from the pant leg of the elf after losing consciousness. He hit the the soft forest bedding. If Nadroj didn't regain consciousness his transformation would eventually fade; his body would involuntarily revert back to its demon form. Nadroj was truelly a dark and cold hearted force, but light had never had such an extreme effect on him. Why was the light from this portal any different? Just as it was the last time he had lost consciousness, his mind was plagued with images, far less surreal then those he had seen on the beach.

Hikaru gently glided down to the earth, letting Mystic touch down before his own feet hit the ground. Wasting no time he looked at Mystic. "Where do you think we should make camp?"

"In the densest area of the forest we can find." Replied Mystic to Hikaru, as his feet touched the soft ground. Seeing a large cluster of tall trees in the distance, he figured it would serve as the best possible hideout for the moment. He began to walk towards the designated area, motioning for his ally to follow.
The Elf King was quite familiar with this forest. Before his days in the Elven Kingdom, and before his death, his childhood to young adult years were spent in these woods. If a fight were to erupt within this land, Mystic would indefinitely take it personally, unlike his usual persona.
Mystic was beginning to grow accustom to hearing no voices other than his own during conversations with the Angel. His telepathy did not annoy him in the least, but rather intrigued him.
"Ridding ourselves of that God forsaken Demon was the first move. With some rest, our progress from here-on should go smooth." Commented the weary Elf, just as he felt a slight more energetic in an instant. It was at this point the the unknown follower, Nadroj, fell from Mystic's clothing. Noticing him would have been almost impossible. His form and energy signature was far too discrete. This baffled the Elf King to a great extent. "Did you feel that?" Asked Mystic to his ally, wondering if he was simply imagining things.

Hikaru looked at Mystic and shook his head no. Either the elf was crazy, or extremely in tune with his surroundings. The Angel was forced to fold his wings to fit in the dense layers of trees. He simply stared at the elf with his golden eyes, waiting for him to lead the way; Hikaru tried to avoid the forest because he was at a disadvantage in close quarters, and therefore did not know the forest very well. Hopefully, the elf would.

Except for a dim ray of light that shot past the tree tops to the land below, Nadroj stood in darkness. "Where am I?" He began walking towards that single ray of light, when he noticed a translucent figure. The trees in this forest were ancient, their roots shot from the ground wildly and intertwind with one another. "I remember, Light realm...". "And here the name suggested I would see plenty of...light...but where are the two I came here with?". The closer he travelled to that ray of light the less translucent the figure became. He hadn't come to interact with the natives directly, but when he attempted to stop his movements, he was suprised to see that he could not. His body was moving completely on its own. Try as hard as he may, he could not cease his movements. Step by step his body closed the distance between himself and the figure ahead him. Step by step the figure became more corporeal. "What the hell is happening here...am I being controlled?" He thought to himself. He tried to scout out the area with his eyes, but somehow he had lost control of those too. They were fixed on the figure. When Nadroj had reached its location it had become completely visible. The figure was a child, body curled up in fetal position on the forest floor. He had long black hair pulled back away from his face. The child veered his head towards Nadroj. Though his eyes remained closed, Nadroj could tell that the human was in its teenage years. Once again Nadroj's body moved without his command. It lowered itself to its knees and reached out to touch the boys face. Upon contact the boys eyes sprung open. In that same moment Nadroj was thrown into a different setting. He was once again in an insect form looking up at the elf and angel pair. "More images....like those on the beach...why am I seeing them now of all times?" . As he scurried away from the two he couldn't help but feel a type of familuarity when it came to his surroundings.

Mystic still pondered about the feeling he had experienced a moment ago. For no apparant reason at all, he felt more energetic, alert, and happy all at once. It was if an attached dark energy fell off all of a sudden, allowing the Elf King to revert back to his normal state. Nadroj crossed his mind, although he did not fully suspect him. He could only reason that it was because of being in Nadroj's presence recently. Even that did not make sense to him, along with the fact that the Angel felt nothing. Nadroj would have to have been unbelievably powerful to leave such a dark, lasting effect. Believing that Nadroj could not possibly be among them, he tried not to think of the feeling. Unsolved mysteries were incredibly difficult for Mystic to ignore, however.
The Elf King walked towards the designated area with his ally following. His choice of camping area was well thought-out. The trees would not be towering, which would have been an obvious hiding area to those with a distant view. The best shelter came from the base, where the trees were most thick. It would be difficult for others to see them from within the forest, and the density was not too outstanding for enemies to discover.
He understood that the Hikaru would be unable to spread his wings in this area, a disadvantage which could not be helped. The expression on his face gave off an 'unfamiliar' look. Not fearful or worried, just unfamiliar. "If enemies happen to arrive, I will know of their route before they do. This forest was once my home. Chances are, we won't engage in combat here anyway."

"That is a relief." Hikaru said sincerely, or rather, thought. It seemed like the elf knew what troubled him. That would be nice to have in a traveling companion. ((I don't know if we found the place or if we are still walking, so I don't have much else to post.))

When Mystic stopped walking Hikaru looked at his surroundings. Indeed the elf knew the forest. The area was well secluded but not conspicuous. Wasting no time or words Hikaru walked to the spot that he deemed suitable enough and lay down on the ground, his wings folded around himself to make a feathery blanket. Figuring it to be common courtesy, he looked over to Mystic to issue him a thought. "Good night."

"Good night." Replied Mystic to the tired Angel. Although he also grew weary, he decided it was best for one set of eyes to be open and guarding. Although it was once his home, and he knew the area better than most, the two of them as a group would be defenseless if they both slept. Their shelter was strong, but not perfect, therefore the Elf King walked over beside Hikaru and sat down cross-legged, meditating. This way, he would be at a partial rest, yet fully alert at the same time. Mediation had become a past time of Mystic's anyway. Throughout the past decade, he had exercised sleepless nights for various reasons. Staying guard for the sake of another was nothing new to him.
