The largest field in the Light Realm. Stretching out in all directions for hundreds of miles, all one can see is green, and more green. The grass is tall, and without proper direction, someone could easily get lost in this large, but beautiful piece of land.

Nadroj had been crawling along the forest bed, in insect form, for hours. By the time he had reached the ends of the forest Nadroj had already scouted for animals and plants that could be potentially used against any angles or elves he happened to run into. The animal life there was not at all suited for battle. While on earth realm he could look into the heart of deadly animals and bring out their deepest desires. No matter which animal it was, that desire was always to seek vengeance on others for destroying their land and homes.
Here, in light realm, it was different. The animals here were untouched by the war and had no desire to seek out revenge. Here their hearts were at ease, almost as if they didn't know about the war that was unfolding.
If he were forced to fight in light realm his abilities in battle would be severely limited. Many of the plants in the forest were of a variety not seen on earth for centuries. Plants whose beauty masked their true abilities. From the smallest bud that could emit paralyzing spores, to the largest shrub with hidden teeth; all could be deadly in battle. Unfortunately where he was going he could not bring the plants with him, and since they had not yet produced seeds he could not add those to his arsenal.
Even more useful was information he had gathered from the ancient trees. A city hidden away in the clouds was home to many natives.
That is where Nadroj would have to go if he wished to study the elves and angels. It's location was in the sky but Nadroj would first have to cross a great field before he could even see it.
When he felt that he was far enough away from the elf and angel he ended his insect transformation. The dark aura that he had been supressing for so long had been building from the beginning and once he completed his next transformation it surged. The pulsating dark energy was much more powerful than Nadroj had planned, but it couldn't be helped.
He took to the skies flying in a different direction than the city in the clouds. "Damn it...if I didn't put enough distance between myself and them then that pulse could reach them. It's best not to leave a trail!"In moments the wings of a falcon were allowing him to cover great distances. Mile after mile all that could be seen was green. With each mile covered Nadroj began to lessen the amount of aura he was emitting, until eventually there was none. "I may have left a small trail...but it ends here." He changed his course and began to fly on the proper course to the city as fast as his wings would allow.

The fall..
A crumpled form landed heavily onto the lush, spring green grass of the immense field. A muffled groan was emitted from the dark heap. It began to slowly move, using its arms to push itself to a kneeling position. A hacking cough was heard before it started to speak. "Hehe..such a temper..", the voice revealing the form to be that of a male's.

Letting go of another groan, he began to stand up, pausing momentarily to take a deep breath in before fully erecting himself. A strong wind began to blow, pulling at the hood that covered his head. He raised his left arm, this time pausing to examine it closely. Pulling back part of the cloak that was covering his left hand revealed several inscriptions and tattoos scattered over the exposed length of his arm.

Mother of..another one?!

He spat at the ground, cursing silently; letting the cloak flow back around his arm. A sudden strong gust of wind blew back his hood, revealing medium length white hair that seemed to emit a soft aura in direct sunlight. He blew out an exasperated sigh before willing his aching legs to move. "Great..one mission after another...and this time..I don't even have instructions." ((Pause.))

Walking in what seemed an aimless path for several hours led him nowhere, except to more and more of what seemed like endless greenland.

My word..I guess I'll have to release them now..

He stretched out his index finger on his left hand, bringing it up to his forehead. He closed his eyelids, whispering a single word quietly. "Open." The skies swirled angrily, heavy thunderclouds forming. The wind picked up considerably, causing the tall grass to lay flat onto the field. A beam of light erupted from above his form, engulfing him completely in its oddly cooling aura.

I'll use them properly this time..I swear..

The light emitted a brilliant blaze that brightened the entire area before vanishing into nothingness.

Moments later, he raised his head, his eyelids heavy as if he had just woken from a deep sleep. A loud yawn broke the eerie silence that had settled on the field after the strange phenomenon. Accompanying the yawn was a series of short, deep grunts, then the small squeak of a release of gas. He then sighed with some relief. "Finally. They gave me the pair I wanted." He turned his head to the left as much as he could, straining to see the pair of wings the 'Masters' had given him. From the corner of his eye he could see his left wing's glossy black complexion, seeming to suck the very light out of the air.

@$#! They switched the power back to wind..

He cursed out loud, then shrugging his shoulders and sighing lightly. "Well, I guess they made the right decision. I'm no good with darkness as a power...not after what happened last time.."

Let me see if I remember how to use these things..

He closed his eyes, drifting through what seemed like an endless space of emptiness in his mind, searching for the lost hidden instructions on how to use his newly acquired wings.

Eh. Found it.

He withdrew himself form his train of deep thought, shaking his head vigorously to clear it. "Now let's try this out.." He furrowed his eyebrows, concentrating on the instructions floating around aimlessly in his mind.

After a short period of focusing, he relaxed, letting go a sigh of relief. "Got that over with.." His wings began to flap slowly, quickly gathering speed as he was lifted off of the ground. "Much, much better. Now..let's see if i can get out of this forsaken place." He leaned forward, urging his wings to begin to beat at a furious pace, bearing him away from the spot where he had first landed not too long ago.

((Continued))

Hours of the same endless, green scenery passing by at high speeds was more then enough to put him past the edge of extreme boredom.

I doubt this place has an end..

As he opened his mouth to release a tremendous yawn, a small insect somehow managed to find its way into his mouth and down his throat. His yawn interrupted, he began to cough and hack with such force that he soon threw up the contents of his stomach onto the passing scenery in a greyish, semi-solid mass. Breathing heavily he looked back, hoping that at least a small bit of it had landed on some poor, unfortunate soul.

It's things like this that piss me off the most..Oh well. At least I get the fun jobs, no matter how bad they suck in the beginning.

He grinned wickedly inside, keeping his face as straight as possible on the outside so as not to startle anyone who by chance happened to look at his face.

Hopefully I'll be able to get into a little bit of mischief before I carry out my assignment..perhaps I'll run into something funny looking..

The image of a young, human girl, not yet old enough to be called a woman, but young enough to be called a child, slowly faded into existence within his mind. He quickly forced the image to disappear, sighing slightly once it had left him.

I hope she's doing alright..I'm sure I left her mother with enough means to help them greatly until I return...Heh. I shouldn't be thinking these things. I have a job to do. Serves me right for taking a human as a mate..

A sudden flash of urgency overcame him, forcing him to put on an extra burst of speed.

I promised I'd come back safely..I always keep my promises..

Placing his left hand on the hilt of his Sutoraiki, he continued to speed through the vast green field, anxiety beginning to slowly fill him.
