After having surgery in febuary and being off work for almost a year.. I can tell you that iit is extremely difficult to find a job.. Especially when you are limited at what you can do.... No more retail or food service for me.. as my knees are shot.... Any suggestions... I have no formal office training.. so I am finding it difficult to find a job...

I saw a program through the Community college I attend to get a certificate for Legal or Medical secretary. It takes a year, I dont know if you can go another year without a job, but it would make it so much easier to get a job with formal training.

There are some places that will give you a job answering phones with out having any formal training. And especially if you are good at typing or good with handling customers, filing, etc. Good luck though, I know it's hard to find a job.
