I have my ears pierced, just the normal piercing that almost everyone has. But, for the past 5 years I haven't been able to wear earrings. Everytime I do my ears turn red, they ache, and sometimes I get sticky gook on the earrings. I've tried cheap earrings, expensive/gold ones, hypoallergenic earrings, etc. It seems that I can't wear any of them, which sucks because I really love earrings. It's probably one of the simplest piercings a person can have, and I can't even enjoy it. Is there something I can do about this? Any suggestions or tips?

I had this problem when I as younger. I actually took mine out for a few years. Now I wear surgical steel in mine, and they never give me problems. I think I am sensitive to nickel, which is in a lot of metal. So try surgical steel or titanium.

I live in a small town, so I'd probably have to go into a city to find them, I'm guessing.

They have a good selection at a reasonable price and cheap shipping on jewelry. I usually get my jewelry from them because most places jack up the price and sell crap quality jewelry.
