Maybe its just me, but was anyone else annoyed with Dawn's character? Since she was introduced into the series and all the way up until the end, I could never get attached to her. I found her to be annoying and selfish, and I never really saw her "mature" through the series. I understand that if she wasn't in the series we never would have had the whole Glory thing, but should Dawn have ever been added?

well...I agree that she was very annoying but, she played a vital role in the show. I think they could've gotten a better actress but, the charater was needed

That is a good question. I have to think about that.

I remember when it first happened, we (the audience) had no idea what was going on when Buffy suddenly had a sister.

Then after we find out what happened, at first I thought it was weird, and kind of stupid. But, as the story finally kept going I understood the long term storyline they set up with her.

I ended up loving the whole Glory storyline and Glory is still one of my favorite villians along with Caleb.

As far as Dawn not maturing enough, I think the series just ended to soon, before they got a chance to let her change.

After all that, I kind of liked her. I think she was supposed to be annoying.

of course she's supposed to be annoying, she's a little sister who stands in the enormous shadow of her perfecrt slayer chosen one sister...

I always kind of liked Dawn. She had a great relationship with Tara, especially. She was really irritating at first, of course...

Sorry guys but I have to say that I really never like Dawn. Except for a few ep. She was a spoiled brat. She did get better in the 7th season.

The character struck me as one of those, "it was a short-term charrie but the actress was so popular we kept her" kind of deals. I think that she was supposed to die, but the PTB loved the actress/character so much that they painted themselves into a box about keeping her...and maybe that's why Buffy jumped.

I think the whole Dawn thing was during a time where the series almost did the "jump the shark" thing (if ya don't know what I'm talking about ask).

It was also during the time when they thought the show might end, then they switched networks and stuff. It's also when Joss Whedon wasn't as much in control of the show as he was before since he went to work on Angel.

Though I know they did really like Michelle T, who played her.

I think he saw Buffy take a little turn and came back to it more, then there were some great episodes like "Once More With Feeling".

Just my opinion/thoughts about it.

Really? She was a different kind of annoying then, I thought. All insightful, and trying to fight...

I thought Season 6 was the Shark Jumper, turning Willow into a magical crackhead was the biggest mistake ever made (if they didn't do it we'd still have Tara)

Dawn wasn't SO bad I really liked her in some moments but when she whined like a baby and did that crazy a** yowdel scream when everyone was trapped in the house I wanted to b***h smack her face. But she was better in season 6, she had hardly any role in season 7, I would have liked to see her be better but that season was really rushed.... In the comic she's kinda cool, I was shocked in the new issue that she screwed her boyfriend's roommate, so her boyfriend made her a giant, LOL!!!! Haha that's revenge for you!

Whoah... Little Dawnie screwed her boyfriend's roomate!? Little cute Dawnie....
Wow, then again I don't read the comics so maybe she's changed enough so that it wasn't such a shock for readers.

Trust me, read the comics, they pick up after the series leaves off. Go to the forum of buffy comics, I think I posted a wikipedia link that tells you all the info. I wasn't much of a comic reader, but they are now on comic #14 and I'm completely hooked! It like watching the show again.
