Alex stands in the main hall, leading to the man's room. Impatiently tapping his foot waiting for Kai. He was holding a small package in one hand, his book in the other. "Hurry up..." He mutters impatiently.

"Kai finally!" He smiles and rushes. He looks at his offering, "You gave him your dad's crown?!" He says shocked. "Aw man, all I got him was this book." He sighs, he didn't exactly have anything of great value to give him. "Come on, lets do it at the same time."

Alex was giddy like a child, this was funner then their own birthday. Alex opens the door and feels the cool rush of magic wave over him, but he never closes the door. He stands there looking in horror onwards at Alix Desmound.

It was... horrible.... No. No it wasn't horrible, that'd be an insult to the gravity of the situation. It was a word not yet invented. He was dead. The savior of Tisa was dead. The sole person that caused them to still be alive, Alex's teacher, Kai's mentor was dead! The barrier had yet to shatter... but it was only a matter of time.

The cause of death was so simple it was insulting, a single slash to the throat. But that alone should not of killed Alix! He was too powerful for that, he could heal it before he even lost any blood. He must of not expected the attack...

He was laying face down on the floor, stiff as a board. All color had been drained from his already pale face. The loss of blood definately the cause. His eyes have yet to take the white glazed look Alex had become accustomed to see the dead hold. He had just died recently, and from the looks of it. He had been standing in the middle of the room, his body currently the form of the old man he had came to love.

Blood no longer spewed from his neck but rather pooled itself grotesquely at his body, still wet. Alex ran to him on sheer instinct, but in his mind he knew it too late. Casting a plethora of healing spells, all in vain. "Veriishio! Rejisua! Caslientoga!!!" Yelling in an ancient tongue. The light of magic flashed, but nothing. No stir... No life.

Tears began to well in Alex eyes after each failed spell. His voice grew higher in pitch each attempt, he tried to hold them back. But it was too much for the man, he finally broke down and cried. His tears fell onto the corpse of the man he once knew, but he never stopped the onslaught of magic. Please... don't be dead! Please don't be dead! Please let me save you! You can't be dead! You can't! I'm not ready, Kai's not ready! Don't be dead... don't be dead!

"I can't! It's... it's..." He sobs as he sees the final flash. "It's... too... late..." He cries more, his book standing the doorway where he left it. He clenches his hand in pure anger. Who could of done this!!!!! "WHO!!!" He yells the last bit without even realizing it. After a few heavy breaths, not only brought on by his anger but his depression, he walks to the knife.

He examines it closely and looks at the blood upon the floor. In the blood was purple streams of a mystery fluid. The smell of it was so empowering, that it over shrouded the smell of death. He knew what the liquid was in an instant. It was poison, a specific kind of poison. Instantly it snapped and dropped the knife onto the floor.

"That's Spirruven." He mutters darkly. "It's lethal to the touch to a human..." A human couldn't of done it with that poison, they'd died applying it. But he had a spell that repelled non humans, and from the look of it the spell was intact when they entered...

"How?" He asks.

Alex's eyes watered. His anger brew. "A half human!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. He hated them, now more then ever. The cruel irony grew even larger as his hatred grew. He stopped the tears from coming again, he hadn't been this sad since his father died.

Suddenly everything fell into perspective.

"That... that... b***h!" he yells. "Rina did this!"

Alex took the pendant that layed upon his amulet. Suddenly he felt a strong pulling on his entity. On his very soul. "Ungh!" The pendant flashed and he felt drained. Tired. He could deal with it for now... but how long will it be until it is too much for him to bear?
