I've wanted a scarab tattoo for quite some time, thanks to a long-running obsession with ancient Egypt. From what I know about the symbolism and uses of them, the logical pattern would have bird-like wings extended perpendicular to the scarab's body, and it'd be placed over my heart. It sounds really spiffy, and I've come up with a few good designs, but I'm running into a couple of issues.

1- I'm not small-chested, and I'm pretty sure that'd interfere with the design, it'd either have to be altered to fit the space, or risk being really distorted looking. And then, there's the inevitable droop that comes with age...
2- Standard aftercare always seems to include not wearing clothing directly on a tattoo when it's fresh, but I don't think I can go without a bra for that long...

Does anyone see a solution to this dilemma, other than just not getting that tattoo?

I have HUGE boobs. The advice i've heard for the bra issue is to just wear it as little as possible and when you do, tape gauze pads over it. I know, tyattoos need to breethe but that's why you only do it when it's IMPOSSIBLE to go without a bra. As for aging, yeah, they'l droop, but I mean, if you really want it there, get it. Do you really think that when you're 80, you're going to have that area exposed to everyone? Hope this helped a little.

NEVER REBANDAGE YOUR TATTOO. Never place anything like gauze, even tissue, ceran wrap, anything, over your tattoo once you've taken the initial bandage off. You can wear clothing, just take care of your tattoo. I've placed a really really great aftercare regimen on the main forum page in a sticky, look for it if you have any questions regarding tattoo aftercare.

One thing about the scarab design is that its extremely centered...symmetrical. Symmetrical designs to not look good when its not centered on a part of your body (like if you put it off to the side of your chest). That kind of thing would look good in the middle of your chest, back, arm etc.
