Idly adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves Balthier’s eyes roamed the various occupants of the park he had taken up residence in. Lazily leaning back against one of the bigger trees in the area he found himself inwardly sighing. How boring. He had come with the hopes of perhaps finding something, or someone, interesting. Instead he had found himself watching the various people who passed through the park.

Gizmo looked around him, making sure no one was around him. Everyone seemed to be busying themselves with their friends in the park. Gizmo sat alone, under a semi-large tree he'd found. He slowly slid on a pair of headphones. After a moment, he glanced around him again, and slowly turned up the volume to max. He may be alone, but music made him happy. But, someone to talk to, or dance with, would make him happier. He sighed and listened to the beat of the music.

Balthier couldnt help the irritated frown that passed across his face as his ears caught the slight sound of music - Too low to make out the words, yet just loud enough to make out the tune. Glancing about for the source, a complaint already on the tip of his tongue to be tossed at whomever the music belonged to. If he was to be doomed to be bored for the remaining of the day he damn well would be bored in peace.
Brown eyes landed on the culprit in question, and all objection to the others presence quickly faded. Pulling himself up to stand, unconsciously brushing invisible dirt from his sleeves, Balthier made his way towards the other – his day suddenly seemed quite a bit less dull.
Grinning down at the other Bathier rose his voice slightly, to be sure it’d reach the others ears despite the blaring music. “I couldn’t happen but notice you seemed to be all on your own,” He made a vague gesture around the area the other sat as if to prove this point. “Mind if I join you? After all its more fun with company.” A disarming smile placed itself on his features for good measure.

Gizmo was happily listening to his music, when he felt the presents of another being looming over him. He slowly glanced upward. A slightly taller Poneko stood over him. He was saying something. What about 'Walking in the Moonlight, talking to himself??' Oh! That was the lyrics! He quickly turned the music down. But he only just caught end. What's more fun with company? Panicking Gizmo just nodded quickly. Hoping and praying it didn't make him look like an idiot.

Grinning at the oblivious poneko Balthier all but plopped himself down in front of the other, legs crossed and leaning back on outstretched arms. “Well then, I’ll just have to take that as an invitation.” Glancing over the other he found himself unable to wipe the silly grin that had plastered itself across his face off. “I’m Balthier, and what would your name be?”

Gizmo looked around him again. Where did this Poneko come from. He hadn't seen him before... Suddenly his attention was brought back to the other. Balthier? What an odd name. He thought. "Oh!" He panicked for a moment. "I-I'm Gizmo!" He forced out.
"Umu.. It's nice to meet you, Balthier." He smiled sweetly. "Where, may I ask, did you come from?"

“The pleasures all mine.” Smiling Balthier lent forward so his head now rested in his hands. “Mm, from a tree or two over, wondering what a lovely thing such as yourself was doing all on your own. And well, you know the rest.” Balthier unconsciously ran a hand through his hair. “You come here often?”

Gizmo could feel his face heating up quickly. "L-l-lovely!?" He managed to force the word out. He sat there staring at Balthier for a moment. No one had ever actually called him 'lovely' before. He nodded to Balthiers words, not really listening. Until he realized he had stopped talking. Gizmo stared blankly at Balthier, before noticing he was waiting on Gizmo to say something. He felt his face get even hotter than before.
"Umu.." He panicked. He could feel himself about to cry, but wasn't sure why.
