Hello all you wonderful people. I am FireonIce, a moderator here in this lovely guild. Many of you know me and are well aquainted with my modding style. We are accustomed to having a neat, organized environment here in LOEP, something every member does it's best to uphold. But I have been noticing a distinct lack in protocol with regards to how to go about getting a donation for your quest. I am here to set the record straight.
1. Try and follow guild rules and both spell and punctuate your posts properly so that we can keep our reputation as a high quality guild.
2. Give the people a better reason for donating then "omgwtflolol i need gold so that i can buy sum kewl new sh!t on gaia plzplzplz i want stuff so gimme!"
3. Make an official thread that includes: A welcome post/table of contents (optional), a list of the items you are questing for and a posts bearing the names of your donors and bumpers (remember every little bit helps, the bumps count too)
4. Don't just bump away at your own stuff. It has been found that people who are generous with their bumping will receive plenty in return!
5. If someone can't donate to you, take it in stride. Not everyone will donate and you will probably reach a dry spell where you will not receive any donations at all. (I am in such a time, I have not had a donation in about a year, but that's ok!) Just keep bumping and it'll come to you.
6. BE POLITE! I cannot stress this enough. Be polite in your thread even if someone else isn't. If someone is being a jackass, we, the moderators, will deal with them accordingly. It is not your job to take care of the jerks of the world.
7. Don't go into other people's quest threads (or any thread for that matter) asking for a donation. You've made your thread and that's enough of a hint that you would like some assistance with your quest.
I hope this has been helpful to those of you looking for help/who don't know how to do this. If any of the mods have a rule to add, please feel free to edit my post and add it (but colour code what you add).

It didn't sound preachy or bossy to me. I hope that people take the time to read this and follow the suggestions.

I'd comment, but I am cursed when it comes to Quest (Quest Cursed, he eh) cause all my threads fail, regardless of how much they are bumped. (usually only by me)

Yeah, me too. I haven't had a donation since about may sad oh well. Since I only have one more item that I'm after, I'm hopping people will donate in other guilds but ah well. If I have a donation thread, it'll be by the rules.

So, if I start a thread and just put "Give me your money" in the first post, and then come in and complain every day that no one has... That would NOT be the proper way to get donations?

I haven't seen any quest threads in quite some time now... Is there no one in the guild who is currently questing?

Impatient I haven't seen any quest threads in quite some time now... Is there no one in the guild who is currently questing? Same as Bread, I quest but None of my quest thread ever succeed, so I have just stopped making them. Except for some of my guild ones. Cause Guild people are far awesomer than Normal people.
