Anne Rice has hinted at relatonships among the cast of her novels, but only once ((as far as i have read)) has she acctual mentioned sex between two males, David Talbot and a man from his younger days in the "tale of the body theif" if you have noticed any other example such as this, post it here... i am getting curious as to why its not a more front running theme...

In Blackwood Farm, there's a bit of a shower scene between one of the main characters and his doppelganger. It's quite sexy. :3 Also, in The Vampire Armand, there's a scene during which Marius pleasures Armand in a way that's more suggestive than her usual.

I think that if it was less subtle and the relations between characters, then she would lose a lot of the appeal that she has to people. I just think that she would become cheap if she writes a full sex scene between two characters. She's never written a full scene from what I've read, only hinted at things, and I think that's the way it should stay. It makes it, in my opinion, more enjoyable. It's not a front running theme because the relationships don't mean anything, they're not a big part of the story, they're just there. I would stop reading Anne Rice in a second if a character started brooding over lost love or a failed relationship.

She has a second pseudonym for her porny stuff, anyway. X3

If all of her novels count, there's a number of sex scenes in Cry to Heaven. If you mean only her vampire stuff ... no clue.

As JinLucifer already mentioned, Cry to Heaven has multiple sex scenes between Tonio and a couple of different characters. And quite frankly, I think the physical relationship between Armand and Marius was certainly more than "hinted" at. confused Forsaken_Blessing I would stop reading Anne Rice in a second if a character started brooding over lost love or a failed relationship. Marius does quite a bit of brooding over Pandora in Blood and Gold. And I've read her erotica. x3 My friend has her Sleeping Beauty trilogy, and I borrowed it for a laugh. It's not my cup of tea at all, but the woman does a decent job of it.

The majority, if not all, of Mrs. Rice's porny stuff is heterosexual. I don't have a problem with that, of course, but it seems odd -- considering all of the li'l subtle adventures of her vampires with one another. XD

Oh, Marius. He's my favorite character; I love Blood and Gold simply for the fact that he falls in love with everything that breathes and then gets emo about it.

I've only read Interview With the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and Queen of the Damned, and that was about a year ago, so my memory may be a little off... but to me it seemed like there were a lot of relationships that seemed to be much more than friendships among all the vampires, seemingly having multiple loves at times, too. But, like I said, it's been a while, and I mostly remember the overly graphic descriptions of blood. (You're thinking: Duh, the books are about vampires.) And I'm a bit squeamish, so I haven't gone on to read any of her other books. xp

I think Cry to Heaven is the most out-front homosexual relationship I've seen in Anne Rice's books (which I only reluctantly admit to reading >__>).
But the first book I read by her was The Vampire Lestat, and as the first real bit of GLBT-related matter I'd read, the angsting between Lestat and whatshisface-Nicholas? struck me pretty hard. I'd never seen anything like it between two male characters, and it really opened my eyes whee
