When you pick up the guitar (or whatever instrument you play) and you just unexpectedly play something amazing and go "WTF!? I'M NOT THAT GOOD." I had that moment earlier when I started playing this really technical progressive tune that switched over to some kind of Melodic Black Metal riff. I didn't think I knew my way around the strings that well. smile

Still haven't done anything like that...but I've only played for half a year and even on piano for me where I have experience it's hard because as I have classic training I can't simply switch off to things like riffs.

I've been playing guitar for 6 or 7 years. Learn how to play this song and you can be riff happy on the piano all you want. smile

Either way, I'll figure it out since I'm doing keyboard for jazz band, I'm just more classically trained so when I try to solo it sounds like crappy arpeggios in awkward key signatures.

You've never used Megaupload? I've never even heard of it. 1. Click link I posted. 2. Enter the three letters presented into the text box. 3. Click Download. 4. You see a ticker on the next page that counts down from 45. 5. When it completes click Free Download.

And the song is a really nice carnivalistic piano interlude.

I still would prefer not to download anything. My computer's pretty much filled to the brim of what it can hold with all my sister's saved pictures and crap like that.

Occasionally. Sometimes I surprise myself if I get in a situation to listen to a certain type of music for a very long time (e.g. going to jazz concert). After I return to a piano, I can usually repeat that style of music even if it is something I usually not play.

I felt this anytime I learned a new scale. I would just play it faster than I usually do and I'd gaze at my fingers in awe, wondering how I did that!

Yeah. I've had some of those moments, like "Why can I play Master of Puppets at 4x speed now? o_O".
My max is usually 3.
Good way to warm up. =P
